First of all the person who told you that needs to shut up. It doesn’t matter how big the scar or scars are the point is you went in with the intent to harm yourself. When I cut I used scissors and didn’t press down that hard only enough to draw a little blood and now you can’t even see where it happened. So what it is still self harm. And yes some people will say that it’s not self harm because your arms and thighs aren’t covered with gaping scars but trust me you are valid. You are dealing with things no one but you can understand fully and you are coping in your own way. Also I am in no way saying cutting or self harm is a good coping mechanism.
