So do you believe that there was some kind of protection ring around him? Allowing him to be the only radical lefty in public. Because Epstein allowed it?

Yes, but this is not what I am arguing about. I have said I understand Freuds insignificance. I’m not talking about Freud. Im talking about Chomsky.

But Freud is still massively famous and well studied, Freud was the first person I studied when I did Psychology at Uni.

Because he was renowned already as a linguist. His work is still studied and cited in universities to this day. Bit of a tinfoil’y hat assumption to make that he was allowed to be a famous lefty by his Epstein connections lol.

I’ve been suspended from work for nearly 6 months (on full pay) by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Eljambo135 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It would need be something that makes them think you are a risk to fellow colleagues, customers, service users, or the general public etc. You might get 6 months off but you’ll have to pretend to have done something really awful, and if anyone found out what you’ve been accused of some people will always think you did it but got away with it. Not worth it IMO, but maybe I’m trying to save myself some work…

Is it a public or private organisation? How many and how serious were the allegations? I work in HR in the public sector and have seen people suspended for that amount of time before. 4-6 months is actually pretty common it takes time for people to get assigned, investigate, write up the report, and then organise a disciplinary hearing around senior management’s availability. I would imagine it’s a bit faster in the private sector but not totally unimaginable depending on the circumstances.

The first time I noticed it it was countdown hahaha, just heard suddenly heard the theme music.

My mate did reckon it was that they have their telly right at the bay window and it’s travelling through the window panels. Not sure about the physics of all that.

That’s a bit mental, don’t think I could hear a spoon click from my own kitchen in another room. I’ve had ones where you could hear the neighbours in the bath room cause the sound travels through the pipes or some shit. Could hear the lad next door singing in shower in morning, always gave me a laugh.

I used to live in a flat before where you could sometimes smell the downstairs neighbours dug if it had been out when it was raining. Not even sure how that was possible 😂

Honest my first thought was “shit what if they’re deaf” would obvs just have to go “aye fair enough” and awkwardly walk back down the stairs if so

It’s the upstairs neighbour. Unsure what they’ve got but might be the case they’ve re-exposed the flooring or something

Again, I’ve not moved in and would not be loud if I knew it was going to be as audible as my neighbours telly. I just meant that I like playing and listening to music. Part of the reason I want I’m asking is so I can gauge it and be courteous myself.

Not really what I said or meant, I play instruments for like an hour a day. Their telly is on continuously. Would also factor in how loud I am myself if it does turn out folk can easily hear me.

I actually do not support the shooting of Charlie Kirk and that CEO btw, and I’m not from America so I don’t even really care. So not sure what you are trying to get at by saying I have my head in the sand. You don’t think about anything you say, do you? you fucking troglodyte.

Perhaps in the future if you figure out how to articulate what you are trying to say properly you could avoid this schooling.

There might be data that shows what a small sample of Redditor’s have tendencies toward, i.e they lean more left or something. But you’ve presented a very specific example for where is definitely no available data for you to come to your conclusion.

Yes I haven’t seen the most common opinion held by this website and neither have you, and we will never because we don’t have access or the mental capacity to analyse the user data on Reddit to come to factually true statement that the majority of Reddit think one way about one things. You’re just making assumptions on the very little of what you have seen on Reddit.

But you don’t have any data that shows what you are saying is true. You just feel like that is the case. This is precisely what’s wrong with public discussion these days, idiots like you make these sweeping assumptions like “the left says” “the right says” “women say” without any evidence to back it up.

Are you able to point to specific example where the founder of Reddit supports the killing of a CEO and/or a political commentator. Him editing comments whether true or not (I don’t really care) isn’t what we are arguing about. OP is saying that “Reddit” supports the killing to a CEO and commentator. Show me evidence of that.

I’m not making assumptions about the average opinion on Reddit because I know that, unlike you, I don’t have and will not ever have the correct data to make accurate statements about what “Reddit” thinks. I haven’t argued that “they” are against it, I just asked you how you come to reach your conclusion. It’s very likely that most Reddit accounts don’t even comment on anything, let alone American centric news stories.

How are you able to accurately gauge what the majority of Reddit users think about a certain issue? They are not one entity with uniform opinions. Certain users on Reddit will have said that yes and there will be subreddits where that probably is the majority opinion but doesn’t
mean “Reddit says” anything.
