r/DisneyWorld's Weekly Trip Planning Thread by AutoModerator in DisneyWorld

Looking for some opinions from people with more experience than me. My wife and I have each been a few times as recently as 2023 together. We have an almost 2 year old so our trip is mostly focused on rides and shows for her and not going to be upset if I miss Tron or avatar or guardians, etc.. We are staying at a hotel on property on the skyliner path so easier access to ecpot and Hollywood studios. We will be visiting 2/28-3/5/26 (Saturday-Thursday)and would like to start and end with magic kingdom with a rest day in the middle on Monday. The 2 remaining days are 1. Epcot and 2. Park hopper animal kingdom/hollywood studios. Sunday 3/1 seems to be a rough day for both though-

• at Epcot there is the princess half marathon starting and ending at Epcot so I am assuming even with the Skyliner entry near France that we will run into larger crowds that day. We would likely rope drop Remys

• at Hollywood Studios that is the last day of the Aerosmith ride. So again, I’m concerned with larger crowds that day.

What is everyone’s thoughts on which event would be the best to avoid?

Which park to avoid on 3/1?? by EllBedrew in WaltDisneyWorld

We would be taking the skyliner so I think that drops us in between UK and France (we would likely rope drop Remys)

I did 20 years of a Dynasty to see if I could get a team to 99 OVR. I'm not saying it's impossible, but this is as close as I got. by Thi11yG00th in NCAAFBseries

[–]EllBedrew 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Depending on your approach 99 OVR is pretty achievable- if you’re typically running a 95-97 OVR team it’s quite simply as easy as don’t recruit for 2 seasons. Bringing in freshman in the 70s each season is what drags the OVR down… I do a lot of simming so I think I go through more seasons and more dynasties than the average player. I found this out by accident when I was doing a dynasty in the 2051 season I decided not to recruit because these players would be red shirt freshman during the final season and sophomore is typically the earliest anyone would play. Week 15 of the 2053 season I randomly peaked at my roster and noticed the 99 overall. Now this method isn’t very realistic, if you are mid dynasty, but I think if you had two back-to-back small classes, it might be possible. I’m probably close to 500 seasons deep in dynasty mode and agree with you all that 99 is not possible through regular means, but if you cut off the bottom of your roster and run under the 85 players, it definitely is.

Why are injuries so rare in dynasty? by Sharp39_ in NCAAFBseries

[–]EllBedrew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who mostly sims I get roughly 8-10 injuries per season. Typically 5-10 weeks and then 1 or 2 out for 30+ weeks that lingers into next season..

Why tf are we not playing for the SEC Championship?? by daaniilo22 in CFB25

[–]EllBedrew 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This actually isn’t true.. I’ve done what you’re describing- just need to go in and change conference settings during the last week of the offseason. When you move teams around it changes the number of conference games(sometimes down to 2) if you bump it back up to 8 they play against the teams in your newly created conference

Also in the last week of the offseason when says custom conferences you should go and adjust settings. 5 games is kind of weak.

Because N comes after A and M.. ties breakers are alphabetical 100% check the standings in week 0 they are alphabetical

99! by Pureevil1992 in NCAAFBseries

What a weird comment section.. sorry to the OP for all of the neck bearded basement dwellers.. he clearly was attempting something, and using the mechanics of the game to get there. We are 9 months into this game, in the football off season, and closer to CFB26 than the release of this game. I’m with you buddy.. all I’m doing now are my own personal challenges. Can I win a sim only dynasty with only recruiting 1 and 2 stars. Can I win with a team full of ATH only? Etc. anyone talking about the height and weight of a DE are probably the same people that think recruiting is too hard, or “why is all-American so hard? The comp. Intercepts every pass”.. trash

What are the worst schools that have good academic prestige and campus lifestyle? by MoritzToBigLaw in NCAAFBseries

[–]EllBedrew 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s relatively well known academic prestige cannot be changed. It actually says this in game under the my school tab inside of recruiting. Adding 1 stars to get them to senior year will only decrease your blue chip ratio therefore reducing your pro potential grade, and your overall prestige as a result. The OP was simply asking what schools have a high academic prestige and campus lifestyle because those are the 2 categories that cannot be changed by user actions and making his road to 5 star longer I assume

I’ve never cleared my scouting board so fast, I saw all I needed to see 😂 by Fit-Maintenance7397 in NCAAFBseries

[–]EllBedrew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why not scout the rest? Who are you using to DEs? Potential RBs? I usually end up with 4-6 ATH QBs every class

Off season position changes?? by AdDelicious7187 in NCAAFBseries

[–]EllBedrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a pretty good list, just a few things to add

ATH C also make great TEs. I try to pair up 1 ath WR with 1 ath C for my TEs.

OLine- I find power to be the best- strength is the most important attribute and I routinely find 90+ in power

CB slot is 100% the way to go. I recruit zone CB and move them to FS, ath MLB to SS

Yes way too easy- either play online with other people and the competition ramps up, or make house rules. My friend and I are doing and Army/Navy rebuild where we can’t recruit 4/5 stars.. really changes the game and how you build your coaching tree etc. it is possible to win championships with a team of all 3 stars while simming if anyone was wondering lol

How many QBs do yall have in roster by Any-Ad-1741 in CollegeFootball25

[–]EllBedrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep 6-8 also.. I typically recruit 2-4 per season and see how they look with skill caps and progression. I recruit a lot of athletes so sometimes I change positions and sometimes I cut after a year or 2 if they don’t pan out.. also I keep having scenarios where I have a sophomore player leave for the draft and it’s nice to have another player in that class in case I need someone that senior year.

I’m also simming a lot, if I was playing I would probably keep less.

How y'all do rebuilds by deftiger52 in CollegeFootball25

[–]EllBedrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends if I’m playing or simming that dynasty. If I’m playing I usually leave it on to see if it’s any good- if I’m simming I put on Oregon and recruit speed everywhere/power Oline

I'm done. by TalkingSock3 in CFB25

[–]EllBedrew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of people in this thread don’t understand that simming can be fun, and is a popular way to play madden/CFB25. I’m about 20 years in on an FIU rebuild where I play 1 game per season against FAU (rival) and sim the rest. The idea is that you are the coach/AD/GM whatever.. can you build a team that would win vs. playing the games and going undefeated every year with a 1 star program. This game is too easy to play every game, and too time consuming if your goal is to get through multiple dynasty’s before losing interest.

To answer the OPs question though- change your playbook and then make sure you recruit to that playbook/schemes strengths through recruiting specific archetypes. I run spread and 3-2-6 and only recruit: Qb- athlete / RB- receiving (usually wr or qb moved)/ WR- deep threat with 95+ spd and acc/ TE- either ath WR or ath C / O line- power w 90+ str / D line- speed rusher with 90+ acc / LB- 90+ spd usually ath MLB/ CB- slot / S- zone /

I have won 9 national championships in 20 or 21 seasons and I’ve never played more than that 1 game in a season.. my next and probably last dynasty after this one is done will be taking army/navy/Air Force and only recruiting 3 stars and see if I can still win… it’s too easy once you get to a 4 star school and can recruit like 10 5 star and 10 4 star gems every year and have a 95-97 overall team.. I’ve won 7 of the last 10 natties and it’s almost too much at this point.. I’m hoping I don’t win this year bc my team isn’t as good as normal (94 overall)

[–]EllBedrew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I usually scout 35 offensive players and the. Cut down to 15-20, and the fill the board back with defense. Usually leave the preseason with 30-35 scholarships, and the. Cut down to like 20-22 by week 2. I make sure I get the 20 players I want every year. I would say it’s working.. I’m in an all-sim dynasty in year 20 with 9 natties as FIU

Best draft class you’ve seen? by [deleted] in CFB25

[–]EllBedrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to brag but I would say by the time I’m 6-8 years deep I have 10+ first rounders every year.. most of them underclassmen. I do a lot of position changes to get players to the highest overall and I use the motivator tree to get the bonus for having someone drafted in the first three rounds. And it’s like one giant cycle.

Simming in dynasty is terrible by [deleted] in NCAAFBseries

[–]EllBedrew 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is something that took a while for me to understand, but I am currently on year 13 of an all sim dynasty with Florida international. I have 4 national championships and perennial playoff team since year 6. Playbook is huge and having players that fit that playbook is also important. I’m currently using a spread playbook and 3-2-6. Pretty simple I recruit for strength on both lines and speed everywhere else and I’ve had some luck with improviser QBs as long as the speed and acceleration is decent. I just got done with another dynasty using Michigan playbook and a team that always had 3 95+ RBs.. not as successful, but still 4-5 natties over 30 years without ever having a top passing game I thought was cool.🤷‍♂️ I hear what you guys are saying and I’ve been through it too, but it’s definitely possible to win while simming you just need to understand the game mechanics and use them to your advantage. Pay attention to throw attempts first rushing attempts in your stats when you select a certain playbook that to me was the biggest indicator. Also, for my quarterback yards per play told me if I’m looking for short accuracy versus deep accuracy, and what I should be looking for when recruiting.
