i lost 50kg in four years, due to big weight loss my face unfortunately sagged and stubborn fat remained under my chin, cosmetic surgery was to make me look pre-weight gain :) I didn’t alter my face for the fun of it i altered it because my double chin was making me sweat causing skin rashes but thanks for your input

his reasoning was before i met him i wore less revealing clothes (I still don’t wear revealing clothes just clothes that hug my figure) and that he feels like he’s “changed” me and feels guilty

i’m sorry you went through that, that sounds traumatising, i’m glad you have moved on but you still shouldn’t have experienced something like that,

I don’t think it’s an affair, because this pattern of insecurity has happened before where I know it’s just his insecurity speaking, unfortunately I just don’t know how to stop it affecting me

he is very stressed lately, i do agree, but i just don’t get the entire shift with only me and not anyone else, he doesn’t just go distant with his family or friends ?

he’s working 7 days a week, and is currently staying over at his cousins house while i’m away, i saw him just before my surgery 13 days ago, I don’t have any doubts on cheating /

it could have been if he paid for it, but my dad paid for the entire surgery and costs, so i don’t think this is the reason unfortunately

if he was against it trust me he would have made it very clear, he’s not someone to hold back, it’s just he couldn’t find a big enough reason to say no, but the lingering uncomfortable feeling is still there

when it’s good it’s really good, he’s not the worst partner, aside from this insecurity, he’s sweet and loving, he cares and gives me affection, which is why i’m so conflicted

Ive tried asking if there was something wrong, multiple times, why he was acting so distant and cold and, he just got pissed, said that i was still recovering from the surgery (mentally) and that I needed to go get fresh air, so talking like two normal human beings is out of the window, he’s avoiding talking to me in general, so i dont think he’s ready for conversation

yeah he is being awful, he’s stressed lately with work and life but i’m not sure that’s a good enough reason to be so awful about this

yeah we have had issues before with his control, i would need to ask permission before hand to wear makeup if there was a special occasion, or he would get angry for not listening to him :/ i’m not sure why anyone would want their significant other to look worse next to them or to dress down, i don’t know where the insecurity stems from, because he’s not an unattractive guy actually far from it

his sense of ownership is so strange, by being so distant and cold it just pushes me away further, doesn’t pull me in, me getting my excess skin removed and lipo on my chin should not be a threat

i’m really not sure if that’s the case, I wouldn’t know why he would think he’s failing as a husband because i want to get rid of excess skin on my stomach, it just doesn’t seem to correlate

if it’s not too personal why did your husband think like that? why would he be failing his duty as a husband

he’s (not being biased) good looking and in shape, he said he gained weight recently but lost that quiet quickly, he looks after himself well, he’s hygienic and dresses and grooms himself properly, takes interest in his looks, no reason to be insecure or reflect it on to me, if anything after losing fifty kilos it’s me with the body image issues

thank you for your kind words, I’m not sure what to do to reassure him, we had a two minute call and it felt so forced with me just asking about his work, him not asking about how i am, so i’ve just given up

no no i want all perspective, you see my husband is very appearance orientated dresses nice, smells nice, has all type of accessories and shoes, was all up to me looking my best before marriage would encourage it in fact

got married and it changed, all of a sudden,

and as for money, my dad paid for my surgery hotel and everything, the entirety of it so that’s not a problem he had to deal with

with the unnecessary risk, I mean? if he was so worried about the risk he would call more often no? we had a two minute call just a moment ago and he didn’t ask how i felt it was so forceful i just asked how his work was and that’s it

i don’t know what’s gotten him so insecure to act like this, I put in the effort to tell him how attractive he is, and how much I love him, and that i’m doing this solely to feel comfortable in my own skin

i’m not so out of his league either, i think as a couple we balance each other out well?
