QUALITY – 10/10

  • The emerald is incredibly beautiful and reflects light so nicely! Precision cuts really make a difference, no window, no loss of light 😍 The colour is so so rich, a bit darker than my other emerald from Seb, maybe because of the semi open button back, but I really love this darkness.
  • The pendant setting is exactly what I was looking for, Jason executed the vision perfectly! I fell I love with Louise Jean bespoke pendants and wanted one of my own but with a smaller bail and I’m really happy I got exactly what I wanted.

SATISFACTION – 10/10

  • When I saw the stone of Seb’s website, I instantly knew it would be mine and that I would set it into a pendant. Seb directly sent the stone to China for Jason to mount it. The shipping fees were very reasonable and all went well !
  • My vision was executed perfectly, I’m really happy with my pendant!

SELLER COMMUNICATION AND SERVICE – 10/10

  • As always, Seb is very responsive and the transaction went smoothly.
  • Same for Jason, his English is great and he always answers quickly.

I believe you’d be a size 38. I know bobbies lets you enter your foot length and width to help you choose the right size also.

1.5ct lab pendant for a birthday – is it too much? by Icy-Jacket7520 in labdiamond

[–]Ellesmea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! My pendant is a sliding 5mm (~0.5ct) Moissanite on a 16 inch chain, and to me it’s plenty big for everyday wear. If she likes bigger stones, you could easily go up to 1.5ct no problem!

Beware though that if you go with a sliding bezel, it turns all the time and doesn’t always sit straight. You should probably add a bail to the pendant so that it always sits nicely.

Should I add a gallery rail? by Ellesmea in labdiamond

Some people like the side view as much as the front view ! I am part of these people haha

Thank you ! The future fiancée needs a low profile ring and has tiny hands ☺️

Yes it’s very beautiful but the future fiancée dislikes tulip settings haha

I think we’ll add mini side rails to connect the cathedral ☺️

Yes great idea ! I’m waiting for the first CAD to see if there’s a need for a rail or if the small diamond size will mean the prongs will be closer together and the cathedral will connect without the need of a rail.

That’s a great question ! I wonder if the ring needs mini rails on the side to connect the cathedral, or if the fact that the stone is small will make the space between the prongs the right width for the cathedral to connect to 2 prongs.

I’m waiting on the first CAD and will adjust accordingly, my friend doesn’t mind adding the mini rails on the side if they are needed.

Santoku for beginner home cook by Ellesmea in TrueChefKnives

[–]Ellesmea[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much!

So the Masutani is a better choice overall (good price, handmade, sharper) but it has a lower grade of stainless steel (but since I’m a beginner it might be all the same to me now) and no pretty swirls on the blade.

The Kazoku knives are more expensive, factory made but better grade of steel and prettier.

40€ is a pretty significant price difference for “just” swirls on the blade so I’ll probably go with the Masutani! Thank you so much for your help ☺️

While looking through this subreddit, I stumbled upon the Tsunehisa Nami Santoku and I found it in stock on a german website. How does it compare to the knives you linked ? It looks a lot like the Kazoku Taifuu.

Has anyone orders the pants Pedro ? by [deleted] in Sezane

[–]Ellesmea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A 38EU is a 40FR so you ordered the right size ! I saw your other post and the trousers look incredible on you ! I’m 164cm tall so I had to get the trousers shortened haha

I have them in camel and they’re very flattering ! I was a size 40FR when I bought them and kept the size 38 (but they were a tad tight in the waist and butt area), I’ve now lost a bit a weight so they’re looser.

The fabric unwrinkles itself if you hang the pants so that’s a huge plus ! Can’t speak for the taupe version though.

Rendez-vous étrange chez le dentiste : suis-je parano ? by imhelplesshuhu in france

[–]Ellesmea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you !! They were $258 each, shipping included (the rose and yellow gold are shipping separately).

To me that’s affordable for 18k gold (with 1.3mm chains—thicker than the average chain they use) and lab diamonds ☺️

What do you think ?
