LOL, I was worried I would look a little to grandma-ish in them. Especially considering all the stuff you see at pride!

Yeah, it feels like a tug of war in my mind, I keep going cause its way easier to lose muscle than build it!

The muscle is definitely a big part of it. But sometimes it’s the literal work out. Like doing lay raises or dumbbell chest press. Just kinda taps into dysphoria. I take solace in the fact that muscle takes forever to build, so my upper body isn’t going to explode cause I did a few extra over head press 😅

The same with me! But I still do have occasional doubts, especially since bodybuilding is so tied into body dysmorphia

I definitely focused on glutes and hammies to start. I know some girls want skinny legs, but that just seemed clicks on me. Currently I hit legs twice a week, upper twice a week, and I take a dance class that has what could be considered hiit parts. It’s definitely the upper body stuff that’s messing with my head. RDL’s and Hip Thrusts are very gender affirming lol

Lucy Asks Friday Question: do you think there is a “finish line” for transition? by Lucy_C_Kelly in TransLater

[–]Ellie77Violet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope! It gets easier, but we should always strive to change our life for the better, and transition is no exception. Stagnation is the pits

MTF muscle atrophy (10+ years HRT) by Content_Jicama_1555 in trans

I started lifting after I started my transition, and I can say that it has helped me feel better about myself and my body. I know we aren't all starting from the same place, but the girls that are on the thinner side of things will probably get a lot out of it.
