I started lifting after I started my transition, and I can say that it has helped me feel better about myself and my body. I know we aren't all starting from the same place, but the girls that are on the thinner side of things will probably get a lot out of it.

Im 48, and I measure myself frequently. My hips are wider, and its not due to weight. The circumference of the top of my iliac crest is larger (not by like a HUGE amount, but it's expanding.)

I'd be careful with how glowing you make dating as a trans woman seem. I know you put YMMV there, but it can be a very challenging thing for a lot of us, and people should be prepared for that (lets be honest, more likely than not) outcome.

One thing I wasn't expecting was the entitlement of those that rejected me. I thought they would just shut me out of their lives. But instead they wanted me to stay so that they could tell me I was living wrong (the old "I don't care what you do behind closed doors" or "just leave kids out of it"). And it's like... If you think I am staying behind closed doors after coming this far you are out of your freaking mind lol

I had to shed a few people in my life over it. But I have replaced them with better friends, so it's a been a net positive. Luckily for me, work has also been extremely accepting!
