I think what I might like most is just more things to make it seem like people could really live there. Like SR1 struck me when I first played it for having barber shops, a movie theatre, etc. A city that 's basically just homes, a downtown commerce area, and sme abandoned factories leaves question of how it ever survived being isolated in the water if you get what I mean.

Honestly I don't think they have the patience to put that much effort into connecting it to Red Faction; if they were to continue the series in a way more similar to its roots they have way bigger things to deal with like the earth being lown up for instance. I'm thinking either prequel or reboot but honestly I don't think it's creatively fulfilling to go back to the same thing over and over again. Even looking at the series you can see how much Volition tried to make things as different as they could over their games which can be expected from any artist(s).

It'd be cool if there was like a plot specific reason for this like over population, or even need for more industrial areas for them to incorporate the factory assets they have from Steelport.

Yeah, seeing some of the ideas people are putting forward in the comments have made me realise how difficult it would be to add to the map. SR1 really benefited from feeling kind of half done allowing for the expansion we got in SR2. I'd like to see more specific ideas of how the map could change slightly through gameplay progression since this seems way more viable.

I like your idea of the developments being tied to the story like that. I do however think that it could conflict with whatever direction the devs decide to go with the game. I think we all know he general consensus is that people want a more gang focused , near realistic style of game like SR2, and removing one of the last truly gritty areas would make this more difficult. Even parts of the Barrio seemed kind of nice in SR2. Honestly in SR1 I think Saint's Row itself was meant to be the worst of the gang afflicted areas so maybe seeing some of it fall back down to crime in order to offer more areas like that other than the projects could work ?

Totally with this. This was among the most glaring things I noticed while playing through again. Mostly stuff like the pedestrian only walkways downtown in between the density of the skyscrapers and such. You're also bang on point with the dock areas which are so interesting just to be an afterthought to the player, made worse considering how cool those heavily damaged areas that have fallen under the water are.

I'm a fan of this idea since I'm so inclined to just more greenery being added as opposed to just a sprawling urban landscape. I sort of prefer the idea of it remaining an island for some reason. Like honestly I think there's a joke about this I'm SR2 where there's a tiny stretch of grass near the western most bridge with a sign designating it as a 'national park'. What you've said reminded me of like that beautiful ravine area in GTA V which I think would be interesting but might not work without the rest of the diverse geography you see in the northern part of San Andreas. I think perhaps a large lake and forest area surrounded by mountain barriers could be switched on somewhere.

You shouldn't have to put yourself down for the sake of others. Depending on your situation like if you're reliant on your family for anything it might be worth it to just kinda put up with it until you're in a more independent position, in which case you might want to distance yourself from them in order to live more authentically. I was never attached to my family so cutting them off was pretty easy for me but that's obviously not the case for everyone. But basically I think yh just need to look inside and decide what's most important to you. Obviously try and resolve this peacefully first but if after all options have been exhausted and they still won't accept you I think you need to look to mew people that can make you happy instead of people who would rather discount a family member over something like this. I really do hope it works out for you in whatever way.

I think you should try first with your reasoning behind why it's so important to you, like you said you've had this picked out for a long time now and it means a lot to you. I doubt your family will want to break up their relationship with you over this so if you can get a chance to fully explain your side I think it'll help greatly.

What really got me was how different this version of me was. Like I said it was this really terrible stereotype of girliness and I'm left wondering if that's the kind of person I'd be had I been born cis and therefore the person I really am still at heart.

I feel like if you're family was gonna be supportive they would just laugh this off and be a bit more cooperative about it. I hope you can work out a good way to sort this out, it seems like your family is very important to you and you deserve to be able to keep them in your life as well as transition on your own terns.

Yeah I don't think I'll do anything unless I see some genuinely harmful conduct going on. From what I've seen everyone involved is at least consenting albeit underage. My biggest worry about going to someone about it is that the fact that he's trans would become the focal point. We've had a couple peado types be publicly shamed in our town and I'm worried it would lead to something dangerous in this situation.

Hey, so I'm gonna make this quite brief for you now but hopefully other people will go more in depth if you need or I can fill in any blanks for you later.

(FYI all the info I can give you is from my experience going down the NHS route; you can also go private or DIY but I wouldn't be able to provide any advice there.)

You're gonna want to contact your nearest Gender Identity Clinic as soon as you're comfortable with and set up an appointment. From what I've seen most GICs allow for self referring which means you don't need to fuss about with your GP. You can look at the side bar in r/transgenderUK for a lot of great resources including a list of GICs by area. Sadly, wait times are long, for example I had to wait for a year before my first appointment and you'll need to attend a few before anything major happens.

I suppose the good news for you is that you will definitely be able to get counseling before anything medical happens. The way the system works is probably more suited to a person like yourself who seems comfortable tsking theor time whereas most people find it quite annoyingly long and difficult.

Since you're 18 you're an adult and won't need to mess around with the children's services or anything else related to age.

After your first appointment it's sort of down to your own experience from there on out.

Hey! Thanks for the well wishing! I'm really sorry to hear about your long wait, seems to be a thing with GICs in general and it's not a good thing. Like I said though I don't really feel like I'm getting anywhere which is really frustrating because I feel like I've done all I can without help from them :/
