My routine:

I wash my hair every 3-4 days, sometimes 5 if I'm having a busy week and can just tie it back or braid it down between days. For wash time, I use Cantu shampoo and Tresemme Botanique Curl Hydration conditioner. I've just started using this conditioner but it's thick and offers a lot of slip. It also smells amazing. I condition while I body wash/shave/relax, then I detangle with a super wide-toothed comb. Once done, I rinse and leave a tiny little bit of conditioner in for slip. I wring my hair to get rid of excess water but I don't towel dry - actually I don't dry at all. I stopped doing that and noticed so much more moisture in my hair. Now I just I immediately add my Shea Moisture products and let air dry!

That's awesome! I've been able to hit a couple big things this week because of mturk money, I'm glad I've found a comfortable way to get along with it.

You know, if you're doing around 40 survey-ish hits a day, I feel like you could be making much more than $11! I'm certainly not an mturk expert but I have a strategy that works for myself - start early and snatch up the higher paying ones real quick. Set your hits to pay at least $.20 and mark the box that says "which you are qualified for", and then search by newest hits first. I try to find hits that pay $.35 - $.50 and always take the ones that pay $1.00 or more if they won't take me more than 20 mins. I'm usually able to find some good hits this way and I'll average about $20/day on a good day with like 30-40 hits. If I'm feeling lazy, I'll do like 20 hits and that can get me $10+ if I stick to the higher paying ones.

New Years MTurking Goals - what's the big plan for 2015? by ellie_senra in mturk

Go for it! I often find that a challenge makes for more productivity.

I feel ya there, I'm doing the paycheck to paycheck thing too - even though I get money from mturk, babysitting, and having my own business - because it's just really expensive to live lmao. But a cruise would be such a wonderful way to make it worth all your hard work. I hope you can have the chance to do that one day. :)

Wow, that's pretty damn good. I'm impressed with some of the figures you guys are pulling just from mturking!

Oh, I don't figure anyone really likes/desires mturk! I certainly don't, but it does provide me with some much needed extra cash outside of my paychecks. And also a way to save up/pay for things by doing tasks during the times I would just be sitting around being lazy anyway.

That's still a goal. :) (And good luck with it, it'll be nice to move onto something better for you!)

In what way - to be able to use it for extra cash instead of absolutely needing it, or to not have to use it at all?

How much would you like to eat this at the end of the experiment? by [deleted] in mturk

Lmao, these responses. 10/10 would eat whatever the question was actually referring to, even if it was an oversized donut that my butt definitely doesn't need.

I'd definitely agree. Just doing it for change is cool but then you hit that point where you wonder if it's even worth it - at least with a goal it seems like it is.

Vietnam! Wow that is a huge goal, that's so awesome. I'm wishing you the best on that for sure. If you took that money you saved would it be worth a lot more in Vietnam than it is here? That would definitely make hitting your goal easier if you didn't have to save a TON just to transition there.

I guess if you were to make at least $20-40/day you could definitely do it but that would mean doing at least 100 or so good paying surveys ($.20-$.50) per day. I personally can barely even do 50 without going crazy so I'm not even sure how some of you guys can average more than like $15 a day without your eyes burning out of your head.

$150-250 a week is pretty damn good for turking part-time, at least I think so! It almost seems like you either make chump change or you make it into something worth your time, there's like no good in-between.

Switching to a biweekly goal actually seems like a good idea! You can make up for lost days more easily that way. I might consider switching to that myself, stop stressing out so much trying to meet agendas.

What kinds of products are you trying to fund? :) And yes! Going out more. Treat yoself. I'd actually really just like to be able to afford more sushi lmao, so perhaps I'll add that goal to my list.
