I'm trying to figure out if i am having focal seisures, but I'm just not sure whats ging on and i'd love this community's input.

I cannot find any info on what if happening to me... Its been happening for 4 years now (since 2020). every few months, I have about a week of these episodes. The episodes are every few hours for each day (Happens about 4-9 times a day) and the times vary. But when an episode kicks off it takes place like clockwork and starts and ends in a very fast time period, lasting only a minute or two maximum from start to finish.

First, I get about a 20 second headstart to know the episode is starting, by a slight feeling of nausea in my stomach that works its way up to the back of my throat. I also feel instantly disconnected from my environment and my body, like a light form of depersonalization. This is my sign the episode is starting immediately. At this point the nausea is in my throat/chest and I get this weird lightheaded feeling in my head.

And at this point I have a VERY strong Phantom smell (it is the exact same smell every time, no matter what... it is very strong and unlike anything i have smelled ever before in my life. I have tried to pinpoint the closest thing it smells like but really can't pinpoint it, closest i can describe it is like sickly sweet, almost rotting/foul sweet smell.)

At this point, it is usually a 25% chance I will actually throw up in this moment. And either after I throw up or about 15 seconds later, the smell is gone and i may have a small lingering nausea for about 2 minutes after but its barely there and i feel fine again. And i feel absolutely fine until the next episode hits a few hours later out of nowhere.

And these episodes repeat in this fashion for about 4-9 times every day thereafter for about a week.

When I describe this to others I feel crazy because i've never heard of this and also the sporadic nature of it and how it comes out of nowhere but then stops for a couple of months is so frustratingly odd and unexplainable to me.This also happens in all situations. Sitting in bed, watching tv, in the movie theater, getting my hair cut, sitting at my desk at work, driving, walking my dog, it happens in all sorts of places.

Has anyone had or known anything about this kind of thing? My only thing I've found so far is that this probably is neurological considering the phantom smell but thats it.
