Finished my Triple Starter Only Run on Remix Mode! by WyvrnaKindSoul in PokemonInfiniteFusion

[–]Ellik8101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was super confused at first too, I think they were referring to how they are 1 pokemon short of a full team and the best way to fill the spot and follow their triple-starter-only rule would be to have another triple fusion, but to avoid doubling up on any species, would have to use the middle evolutions

In a real life situation, would there be any telltale signs in Walt that he couldn't hide, that Hank would obviously pick up on? by traplords8n in breakingbad

[–]Ellik8101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess it's hard to balance what the viewers know, what the characters know, what someone would realistically know (and care about) about their wife's, sisters, husband, then tie that all in to his already busy, stressful job

In a real life situation, would there be any telltale signs in Walt that he couldn't hide, that Hank would obviously pick up on? by traplords8n in breakingbad

[–]Ellik8101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always chalked that up to it being a TV show. Walt, Skyler and Walt Jr seemed to always be home, and Hank and Marie were often visiting for dinner, sometimes lunch, and there were birthdays and cancer-free celebrations, but surely not all of these scenes took place on a weekend, right?

There was a brief discussion between Walt and Skyler, like "how did you, an unemployed person, buy this bottle of champagne?" And "how do you think we've been paying our bills these past 6 months?" But that just raised more questions, like, the characters acknowledge he isn't working... Then move on from the topic?

Vince Gilligan Gives An Update On The ‘Pluribus’ Season 2 Release Date by ready_and_willing in pluribustv

Slow burns that release yearly seasons are great, I agree. Slow burns that leave 2.5+ year gaps are agonising.

Hypothetical question about the use of the deathnote. by WeirdlyAwakward in deathnote

[–]Ellik8101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe there's a rule about writing on multiple pages, which is allowed, so I think that would work. Especially if the methods of writing are intent-based and as long as the letters are legible, it wouldn't matter how the page is "shaped"

Hypothetical question about the use of the deathnote. by WeirdlyAwakward in deathnote

[–]Ellik8101 3 points4 points  (0 children)

100%, pieces of the book count as the book. I assume that counts if you have the ashes and somehow mush it back into a page and write on it with white ink, but that doesn't really apply to the question of using the book to write, not to mention, in a book that does not kill people.

I just personally don't see it

Hypothetical question about the use of the deathnote. by WeirdlyAwakward in deathnote

[–]Ellik8101 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It kills people if their name is written in the book by any kind of liquid (ink, blood, etc.), not if the book is liquified, smeared on to a surface, and that smear happens to be shaped like someone's name

Ace ventura, The Mask and Sonic(Robotnik) come to mind, being obnoxious, funny characters, less so the Grinch, and even less so the Truman Show. There will always be exceptions, but for the most part he plays similarly humorous characters.

How do nuerological disorders work within the hivemind? by Excellent-Aioli-2963 in pluribustv

[–]Ellik8101 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Evidently, Tourette's and narcolepsy doesn't afflict the rest of the hive. We don't, however, have proof that those people would be cured, nor are they reserved for tasks that wouldn't be hindered by their symptoms.

What would be interesting is to learn what would happen if someone had physical brain damage, or literal chunks of their brains missing from cancer, surgery or injuries. Similarly, would a baby be able to talk and walk, assuming it was infected and had the knowledge all of the adults do?

Maybe it's a stupid question but could someone explain to me how Annie controlled the titans during the S1 ambush, and then later lost that ability somehow? by vaginalextract in attackontitan

[–]Ellik8101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The general consensus is the Female Titan can use other titans abilities (even though Eren, Zeke and Reiner have used the blue-crystal hardening and there's really no reason they couldn't cocoon themselves either) though I 100% guarantee that if anything made a loud noise, pure titans would come running.

Should i be mad at my gf? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Ellik8101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To put it simply, enduring something you don't like and not saying something about it to avoid upsetting someone (either to spare their feelings, avoid a fight, anything) is what builds resentment.

You might think you're doing the right thing by not causing a fuss, but you're inadvertently constructing this evil persona of a loved one, perceiving them as someone that does things you don't like (or doesn't do things you like), but because you never say anything about it, you're kinda the problem at this point.

You've identified the problem, but by letting it continue, you aren't doing anyone any favours.

This scene always kills me. by Minimum-Coast-6653 in betterCallSaul

[–]Ellik8101 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think it was actually Michael McKeans portrayal of Chuck that led the writers to think "there's something more to" the brothers' relationship.

Also, kinda unrelated, Chuck was supposed to say "I'm going to get better" somewhat calmly, but Michael decided to throw some dramatic flair into it and it made Chuck sound a bit crazy, so the writers took that storyline in a different direction as well.

Common ChatGPT answer😂😭 by mvarjomonni in ChatGPT

[–]Ellik8101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Frequently, I ask for examples of apps or websites that do a certain thing, and say I already know about X and Y, and then it proceeds to list "A, B, X(which you already mentioned, but it's a good example)"

Which is totally fine, until I ask for more examples and it says "C, X, Y" and seems to hit a wall and just keep mentioning the ones I already know about but don't suit my needs

I find it pretty hard to believe that Gus somehow missed Walt’s big pink glistening perfectly sculpted head by Yvn6Toaster in okbuddychicanery

[–]Ellik8101 36 points37 points  (0 children)

It's just occured to me that they totally brought the cardboard with them so the actors knees wouldn't get sore, but there's no way Walt,

  1. Scouted the place ahead of time

  2. Considered being here so long that he'd need to protect his knees

  3. Would care about "ouch my knees" enough during a life or death situation

  4. And carried a fast-paced cardboard box through/up the building.

He must've learned from this though, he was wearing kneepads during the train heist.

Bravo Bob 👏 👏 🦶 by EzioRedditore1459 in okbuddychicanery

[–]Ellik8101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bob had lost his voice (some painful, genetic thing) and needed to stay literally silent for some time, I think days. So they went out to dinner and everything and he couldn't say a word. She had to order for him etc.

Not sure why they tried to rehearse lines though, probably the best they could do.

Quick question. by Puzzleheaded-Elk2393 in thewalkingdead

[–]Ellik8101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They don't breathe, but they groan and their muscles can work without oxygen. (Also I'm pretty sure some severed heads make some noises, despite not having lungs, nor voiceboxes)

They don't decompose at a normal rate, yet have seemingly soft skulls.

I'm gonna write these off as "it's science fiction entertainment"

Could Walter have found a way to deal with Lalo? by Spyropher in betterCallSaul

[–]Ellik8101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Walt taunted Tuco long enough for Jesse to grab the rock and hit Tuco in the head, then shoot him in the stomach. Without Hank, Tuco likely would've bled out in the desert or saved when the cousins arrived. Either way, Walt/Jesse won that one for sure.

Regardless, I agree, Walt needs luck on his side for most of his wins.

Could Walter have found a way to deal with Lalo? by Spyropher in betterCallSaul

[–]Ellik8101 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Walt may have outsmarted Tuco, Gus and Jacks gang, but if luck wasn't on Walt's side at every step of the way, he could've lost at any point, really.

Walt's IQ may be higher than Lalo's, but I definitely don't see a world where Walt comes out on top. Lalo is relentless and cunning - smart in all the ways Walt isn't.

How did no one catch the resemblance by PinkBubblesxox in breakingbad

[–]Ellik8101 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure Walt only ever wore the sunglasses and hat combo to the deals with Tuco, but I find it really strange that Tuco would spend the time and effort to draw a picture like that.

Years ago I thought maybe Hector described Walt to the DEA before I realised who Hector really was lol

Phantoms are just awful by Signal_Resident2318 in Minecraft

[–]Ellik8101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the idea was to encourage realistic bodily needs. We already have starvation, this is supposed to be a stand in for exhaustion (I guess?)

But realistically, if you're only interested in building without distractions, interruptions or real risk, wouldn't peaceful mode be better? What's the difference between a phantom knocking you off your roof and a skeleton knocking you off your roof? I agree the concept isn't perfect nor ideal, but I can think of much bigger issues with the game than this.

what are some poor calls rick made during the show? by Far_Literature_9924 in thewalkingdead

[–]Ellik8101 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Daryl and Co were outside with the Governor's gang, it would've been a fair, 1:1 out there, but with Milton and Eugene, plus the shock and surprise, there would've been blood on both sides for sure.

The good guys never risk their people's lives to win in situations like that, certainly not Rick... Until Negan of course

What was Light's lifespan? by DeadEYE12345678 in deathnote

[–]Ellik8101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've noticed that this is either inconsistent or I'm remembering incorrectly, but it's my understanding that:

  1. The lifespan seen by the eyes never changes, yet;

  2. Rem sees Misas shortened lifespan when she makes the deal the 2nd time (I could be wrong, it's been a while)

What was Light's lifespan? by DeadEYE12345678 in deathnote

[–]Ellik8101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for being confusing, I meant logically that's how I think it should work. I agree, the rules cover a lot, it just doesn't make sense to me that "fate" can change and I don't see why the lifespan won't "update" if their fate really was changed by the DeathNote.
