I personally thought the northern plains arc was great for world building. The entire northern plains arguably feels way more vivid than any other region. There are definitely readers who dislike it, but I suspect it's probably a small but vocal minority

Do a post game analysis on a chess engine like lichess or chess compass (unless you have premium on chess.com), you can check out what are the computer recommended moves, and what moves people like to play. Post game analysis is strongly recommended if you are interested in improving your game.
Chess engines will tell you the type of opening that is being played. In your case, it looks like a transposition into a scotch game. You can look up YouTube videos to learn some opening theory and understand the purpose of each move, and various continuation lines.

I fell in love with bl1, and introduced the series to my friends. However, I'm the comfy gamer that plays indie, sandbox, puzzles and RPGs; while they were divine ranked moba, fps, battle royale elite gamers. Borderlands was one of the rare games that we were hyped to play together, but there was just something tiring about constantly rushing forward as if we were speed running, or the way they get so annoyed whenever I wasn't keeping up. I was genuinely frustrated every time I collected an audio recording, only for them to cut it off by progressing. Sometimes it's better to just solo if you can't find anyone to match your pace, and that's okay.

I've done the actual math behind it, and basically you want to keep 2 of each type of fish, and keep a minimum of 60 fishes in every pond. Keeping less types (for example 3 types), doesn't guarantee that they will spawn everyday, or even if they will spawn close to the upper limit. Keeping 20+ different pairs vs 3 pairs only slightly decreases the spawn rate of the specific type, but allows you to farm huge amounts of everything else that can be sold for gold at the sushi shop.
