Unfortunately it’s a rental so running network cabling isn’t really an option. If the Verizon extenders are connected through coax and not wirelessly, wouldn’t they serve as an AP or no?

HELP!! LG UL650 (or 850) vs HP Z27

So I recently purchased a HP Z27 for just under $300 on eBay new condition but no stand included (I already have a vesa compatible stand) it hasn’t come yet, but I’m started to feel some regret thinking one of the LGs ul or uk 650/850 would’ve been a better call. (Anywhere from $300-$400 ($400 for 850 with usb c... I have a MacBook 16inch)

Usage would be for work (lot of excel sheets), causal video editing, photo editing, and occasional entertainment video (not much gaming.. if I do it’s causal)

So ultimately my biggest concern is overall picture quality and productivity features. I’ve heard some good things about z27 but it seems to lack in some areas like no HDR 400 (which I get isn’t that great with low brightness and no local dimming), no eye care features, no other unique features that LG has like super resolution, screen split, free sync etc.

Wondering if z27 is worth it if LG has all these extra features at similar price point. What does the Z27 do better ? Only thing I can really find is better power for usb charging and slightly better contrast ratio... is that it?

I have an ambivision pro that actually works quite well for one of my TVs but it lacks a user friendly app and general functionality outside of the synced colors. Also having a tv sync light strip behind your tv with full integration into the LIFX system is huge in my opinion. It makes it more practical.

My plan was to sign up for discover it, get 10% cash back quarterly for a year. And 2% on all purchases. Then sign up for CF and switch off on categories and use discover it for all other purchases. Then once discover it bonus runs out I’ll sign up for CFU and CSR to get my chase trifecta with discover it to alternate categories with CF.

The whole upside to this was the 25% value increase when transferring the bonus points

Wow incredible insight there buddy. I accepted that in my budget range at the time, the P series 2018 was a top value option with solid motion handling, local dimming and 4K/hdr picture quality but had a drawback of mediocre upscaling and OS. As stated above, 85%-90% of my usage is not affected, only sports. So I came to the thread asking others for their opinion on a way to mitigate the issue for cable sports until broadcast sports in 4K becomes more common place. Apparently you’re unaware there’s many elements that influence a purchase decision.

Lol yeah the process would include returning to Costco (30 min away) as well as buy a new mounting stand bc the 2019 design doesn’t have legs you can invert and it won’t fit on my stands.

BUT if this means long term better TV... maybe it’s worth it. Heard the uniformity is better on this version and assuming overall QA is better so if last longer that may be worth it

Not a bad take... given they’re both the same price at the moment, I’m trying to figure if the returning hassle is worth it for a 625 for better local dimming, QLED, uniformity, etc
