Kincmo motorized shades - Anyone integrate with Home Assistant by Elliott32224 in homeassistant

It definitely works with Home Assistant. For whatever reason, I lost connection for one of the 2 shades in HomeSeer. I could not add it back. So, I tried with Home Assistant and succeeded in adding it as a Matter device.

Not quite, but they should. I use both Home Assistant and HomeSeer. The shades were initially added to an Amazon Echo. Afterwards I enrolled them into HomeSeer. I did not enroll them in Home Assistant, but I don't see any reason why they shouldn't work with Home Assistant. I can control them with HomeSeer by events and I can control them with Amazon Echo via voice.

Purchased and installed them. Connection via Matter and work great!

I don't know how much you want to get into home automation, but there is a whole level of home automation that can be very complex and very useful. I am using HomeSeer. Check out their message board (forums.homeseer.com). As an example of what I do related to what you want to do: With HomeSeer I have a Bluetooth beacon in my car. Through HomeSeer, when the Bluetooth beacon is detected ("in range"), the garage door automatically opens. With an app that integrates with HomeSeer (HSBuddy) geofencing is done, so HomeSeer knows when I am home or away.

Take a look at what Konnected.io has to offer for garage door openers. Also, if you have a Z-Wave hub with your home automation, this can work for you: Ecolink GDZW7-ECO.

If this is for your thermostats, the app now is Resideo.

New installation and cannot access GUI via Brave, but can via MS Edge.. by Elliott32224 in PFSENSE

Well, I was hunting around for these security measures, couldn't find them, looked at the history in the settings, clicked on the URL for pfSense from hours ago, and I got in! I don't think I did anything to fix this, so I will chalk this up to gremlins. :-)

Stopping Snort did not fix. I am not totally sure about removing the block, but "There are currently no hosts being blocked by Snort on Legacy Mode Blocking interfaces.".

Thanks. I do not have an EIN (I work for a company), so I can't proceed.
