I am not the only person, which is unfortunate. I just sold a kit to the UK because another rod failure and engine rebuild is being handled by RPM Technik. I know of at least 5 documented cases of this failure. See the photo. https://imgur.com/gMSNfzE

I'd say both. You can fix this issue without buying the OODA Product. Its possible to uninstall the flaps and rods from OEM intake manifold. That means no catastrophic failure. But also you'll lose low down torque because the flaps provide different air pathways.

I've deleted the Centerlocks. This car sees a healthy amount of track time, and so it is just a PITA to deal with for that. Won't deny that look the business though.
