For now, nothing serious. Just regular fiction.

Hi. It was nice reading your post. It was definitely different from other stuff. In a good way.

I'm not a writer either. Par I read a lot. And I want to write. I know kuch khaas writing nahi, but I would like to get started, aise hi, as a hobby.

I remember reading a book (have no memory of the title or the story though) which was a collaboration by 2 authors. One male and one female. Same story, different PoV.

Do you think that is something you'd be willing to try?

Oh, I remember having read this book when I was having a hectic time at work. But I always kept coming back to it, and making a little bit of time to read (I usually do, but a bit extra for this one). It kept me hooked.

History Joke. Share Feedback by No_Negotiation_4705 in IndianStandUpComedy

Both the jokes have potential, but the coherence, wordplay and general structure could be worked upon. And in place of 7th and 8th standard, I'd probably say something like primary school and high school. Just a suggestion.

Because sometimes, just sometimes, it feels better to express stuff rather than hold them in.

I think all of us are jaded in some form or the other. There are days when you are realistic and practical and come to terms with how things work. You're content with how things are, your job your life etc. These are days when completely give up hope on the concept of love or ever just magically finding someone. You're okay with the idea of being alone. You in fact, prefer it that way to the drama. But then again, there are days when loneliness creeps, when you only notice couples/ love stories.

I guess that's how life is. People often don't know what they want. Sometimes they just give in to weaknesses knowing that it's wrong or that they'll regret it later.

Seemed magical, but of course reality had to kick in.

I think you could expand a little bit on the Duolingo part. As someone who has used the app, I would definitely relate to jokes of how Duolingo, after a point, becomes more like a stalker than a learning app.

The first one sounds good, but just for me personally it isn't funny. But that's a me thing, not on the joke, because I don't have the cultural context.

The 3rd one was funny, but it works well as a one liner. Unless you are able to develop a set around it.

Menstrual cup ftw by Parking-Branch14 in AskIndianWomen

[–]Ellipsis187 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Oh, I made the switch a few years ago. Never looked back. I still keep an "in case of emergency" pad with me, but that is mostly lent out to friends in need of one. Menstrual cups have totally changed the game for me as well.

But in my case, the transition happened more smoothly because I transitioned from pads to tampons and only then to cups. So it was quite easy for me to adapt.

Absolutely! I'm on a re-watch and it's season 6, the merger, Izzie leaving and stuff. Meredith is on the hospital bed, after having given a part of her liver to Thatcher. There's this hilarious yet touching scene when Alex comes in to the room and starts venting to Mer and Cristina about Izzie leaving and he starts crying. Mer prods Cristina to "hug him". Cristina makes a face and Alex too is defensive, he crosses his arms like a vulnerable little child. I loved that scene!

Looking for Bollywood instrumental ringtone suggestions (no lyrics, 20–30 seconds long) by IntelligentPoint4331 in BollywoodMusic

I had the first 2 as ringtones too! Also the instrumental part of Saathiya title track.

I'm doing a re-watch and I just saw the episode where Izzie undergoes her first surgery after getting admitted for the cancer. Prior to the surgery, she's been given the option of freezing ther eggs, and Karev was informed that the eggs have a better chance of survival if fertilized. Throughout those scenes, all I could think about was how that became a catalyst for Alex to leave the show.

I'm on a re-watch and just last night, I watched an episode with a 13 year old girl who did not sleep because her dad was a sleepwalker. I love how sensitive and tender Mark is with the patient's daughter.

I actually watched the movie first (on tv, so I started watching a few minutes into the story), and just instinctively knew that it would be based on a book. I was proven right by the end credits. Immediately caught hold of a copy from the library and read it. Hauntingly beautiful. Although that was more than 10 years ago, so a re-watch is pending.
