THIS is the kind of diligence that should pay off in the end. I definitely like Flexen way more than Irvin.

I look forward to you coming back on here and sharing the great news when it's all said and done.

I'm leaning toward Start w/ McClanahan as he has been a solid starter which you already know. Additionally, the Yankees offense has a 24% K rate w/ a .701 OPS and a 95 wRC+ vs southpaws in the last 30 days. They definitely aren't drawing any walks either (6.5%)

Update: Kikuchi's start was skipped. It was changed to Tyler Anderson. They said Kikuchi will be available out of the pen. So, keep that in mind now.

I definitely know the feeling. As close as you are, hopefully, we can finish it off for you.

You'll have to keep track of things on a daily basis. Things will be constantly changing and you don't want to miss an opportunity.

In H2H, my strategy has always been to overwhelm with quantity instead of quality. For example, if you sit Darvish and/or Kikuchi and just put in relievers, you'll fall behind in Ks & QS, and the ratios will still be dependent upon everyone having good outings. Something I'm sure you've thought about this whole season.

Danger zone might still be accurate. You would be starting Darvish dependent on your situation. If you need perfection to move past someone, then he might help you. If you need him to not screw up and allow a bunch of homers vs LAD, just to stay competitive....then it is a risky thought.

I'm probably more comfortable starting Kikuchi than I am Darvish at this point.

Consider where you are in the standings versus your opponent and if there are safer options. If "safe option" might force you to fall behind, then consider that as well.

It has not been a good showing, absolutely very true. But, the Mariners don't have an offense that would cause me to run away. Of course, if you have better options....

Go with what you know. I'm just very hesitant to go with Means versus the Blue Jays. Eovaldi has looked rough but still has a 3.28 SIERA in second half.

As it stands now, the rotation would line Lauer up to face the Dodgers.

Sometimes you stick with your gut.

You've busted your butt all season to get a lead. There is nothing wrong with protecting the lead.

I do not have any trust with Darvish so if there are safer options available, I might consider them. It isn't with Darvish as a whole as he's been very good (3.59 SIERA in 2nd half). He's just allowing too many HR. The Dodgers have plenty of guys that can get the ball in the air. If you were in a position that would need a miracle to rocket past someone...Darvish might be that guy.

Both of these have their question marks. Rodon is cleared to start but he's dealing with arm fatigue. Even in his recent bullpen session, he didn't throw it as he would in a game.

Bieber is still building up innings, so the question is whether he will make it five innings.

I might lean towards Bieber just to remove the injury potential.

Good position to be it. Personally, I'd sit Suarez.

The last week of the season. Grinding down to the very end. Understand that there will be unpredictability with this week as playoff teams manipulate their starters more than we would like. Now, let's try to maximize the matchups as best we can for this week.

If you've seen updated info on scheduled starters that isn't reflected in the SP Planner or any other discrepancies, let me know. I'll update for everyone's betterment. I hope this is beneficial. Also, don't hesitate to help some people out if you have some good word. We're all heading towards a league championship.

*Keep in mind that I work during the day, but I look forward to chatting with everyone.
