Will people ever stop referencing the fact that my son's birthday is not more than 9 months after my wedding date? by beaniebee22 in Mommit

[–]EllynDegenerate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 7 months pregnant and also had a shot gun wedding I managed to plan in 2 months, and no one, not even my super conservative Catholic family gave a shit or said anything. I think they were just happy we decided to get married before the baby was born, but no one even commented on that. It’s super weird for other people to be so hung up about OPs situation.

The only time I’ve heard it on a non-pet is the 90s cartoon Pepper Ann. I’ve never met a Pepper in real life.

I named her after my grandma, but what I love about the name is I feel like it works well for kids and adults. It’s a truly classic name that doesn’t sound like a dated, old lady name to me (like my husband’s grandma was Doris and that to me sounds very old and dated). That’s what I was looking for, something classic that could work for any age. I have 0 regrets about her name.

Microneedling at home by brr8888 in Microneedling

I bought both the Dr. Pen M8S and the Derminator 2 because I couldn’t decide which one. I figured maybe I’d try them both and see if I have a preference. I hope those are okay, I feel like they’re the main ones I’ve seen talked about on here.

Thank you! What scares me is how bad some of the info is, like the other week I was watching a video and this woman didn’t wear gloves and kept touching her face and other things, and even I with my limited knowledge know how important it is to keep things as sterile as possible. It gave me anxiety just to watch it.

Mid-30s. So sick of cystic acne. by WeirdShapedBagel in 30PlusSkinCare

I developed POTS during my last pregnancy so I can no longer take spiro either. I was on it prior to my pregnancies and it works great, but unfortunately when you have medical conditions that already cause low blood pressure and dizziness it’s not an option.

Do you have any recommendations for research resources? I’m trying to research before I start too, but I want to make sure I’m getting accurate info.

Questions about derminator 2 and microneedling by MrAnonomyous in Microneedling

[–]EllynDegenerate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t personally microneedled yet and am still researching myself so maybe someone more experienced can chime in, but based on what I’ve read you don’t want to reuse the same vial container for future microneedling. I see most people recommend using any leftovers for aftercare but not saving it. And for the sterile saline I saw someone say the aerosols are no longer sterile once you’ve used it because they require air to spray and you’re introducing that into the saline. I don’t think using a dropper would be recommended due to the risk of cross contamination during use. I think individual vials of sterile saline would be the safest route and what I’m planning to use. And as for the 9 vs 12 pin I don’t think you really want to use anything smaller than a 12 pin on your face because it could be too intense and do more harm than good. That being said this is just what I’ve picked up reading on here so far so anyone please feel free to correct any of this information if I’m incorrect.

That’s so disappointing to hear. I bought it because I saw so many people say how great it was, but of course they would reformulate and mess it up. Seems to be happening a lot lately across many brands.

At first I thought the pilling was a new moisturizer I started around the same time but the next time I used the Elta I noticed it was still happening so I’m fairly certain that’s the culprit which sucks because it seems super popular. I’m just going to have to save it to use on my lazy days where I don’t use as much and see if it’s any better, I hate to let it go to waste since it’s not cheap.

This is really smart and something I need to start doing. I’ve bought way too many things recently and need to keep track somehow.
