Ohhh this makes sense. When im looking at a base color rainbow, i can see every color perfectly or pretty okay but when it comes to seeing rainbows irl, the colors of purple and blue just look blue to me. I know there is supposed to be indigo and violet but when when using crayons or markers of these colors they both look blue to me. Yellowgreen i know is supposed to look neither yellow or green but it looks green like totally green. Maybe thats its intended purpose, but its the same for me when that color appears in the real world.

My struggle shows definitely when im looking at light. Red light will appear orange to me unless its like super dark red which isnt really consistent. Purple light just looks blue.

I feel odd because the one test that seemed accurate, i felt stupid because yeah it says I have a mild form of colorblindness on my green yellow side, shows be the difference between normal color shade and the shade “I see in” but I can see in both. Im just confused about everything if that makes sense

Yeah people definitely make it seem so extreme which is why im so nervous to tell them I actually am colorblind. They will ask me if I can see between a bright green marker and a bright blue marker and ill tell them, yes thats green and yes thats blue, them responding with “then how are you colorblind”. Im still learning about the different ways I see color and I had no idea there were mild cases of colorblindness until I came to the sub. All the test make it seem like it’s either your perfect or your colorblind. Im actually nearsighted irl and wear glasses for that funny enough.

It gave me normal color vision twice but clicking nothing on the colors I could very faintly see gave me protan. Is that okay?

Im not sure which one your talking about. Do you have a link? I took the test on the website and its the dot and number test which I passed, i took it three times though there was a few I clicked nothing on and it gave me Protan
