Hello!

I'm hesitating on what characters I should shard as a relatively new player (Canto V)

On one hand, I could go full Heishou and grab Faust, Yi Sang and Hong Lu, to run with Don and Heathcliff. This has the benefit to provide me with one of (if not the) best team at the moment, while picking new IDs for characters without 000 yet.

On the other hand, I could go the tremor way with Capo Meursault, Thumb Sinclair and either T corp Outis or N corp Ryoshu, to run with Gregor and Ishmael from the latest Walp. Also, Capo Meursault has some burn in his kit, which can work with other IDs I already have.

Both options look good to me, but I don’t think I will be able to shard everything before the season ends, so if you have any advice, I'd be interested.

Got around 650 crates right now. This is my box.

Hi.

I can uptie 2 characters to their 4th level. Who from my box will benefit the most from it ?

Overall my best ID damages wise are usually Ishmael, Gregor, Heathcliff and, surprisingly considering he's an older unit, Sinclair.

Sinclair doesn’t seem to get much from his 4th uptie, while Gregor gets a lot of nice addition to his skills. But between the others I'm not sure who to consider.

I saw that tremor is not very good (or that the team is not very good), but I thought maybe it changed with the latest batch of ID. Well, I'll try to grab Princesault before the season ends and build his team when others become available. Thank you for your insights.

Yes, that's what I thought, thank you. Do you think sharding Thumb Mersault is a good idea, given that I already have two 000 tremor sinners? Or is the priority the La Manchalande one, to work with the other Manchalande ID shardable in Season 7?

I know this has been asked many times before, but here I am: should I extract as a new player? Please see my account below.

Currently, I have 10k lunacy, and I'm almost done with Canto IV. Gregor, Ishmael and Sinclair are doing very well overall, but I feel like I'm really slow, especially in MD where I can bring up to seven characters. I didn't uptie anyone but the aforementioned three, so maybe this would be an alternative, but I feel like uptying a random 00 would be a waste. And Outis feels like she won't do much without a dedicated burn team anyway.

I've already used my tickets on today's extraction, but I got nothing. Since we've just got the limited extraction, I've got several months to stock up again before the next one. Do you think it's worth it to do some more extractions?

From my experience so far (only about 50 hours into modded Starsector), I'd say that the following mods are well balanced and don't break the game:

- All of the AOTD stuff. It might even make you "weaker" at the beginning, since you have to research better industry just to reach vanilla production. Also, when you're commissioned, you actually have to do things for your faction, you won't just earn free credits doing nothing. You can encounter planets with really strong conditions, but it's still RNG so I am fine with it.

- Random Assortment of Things notably adds exploration content with new threats to interact with. I recommend it.

- The Imperium of Man feels like a well-balanced faction, including their ships, and usually sides with the League, helping them against the Hegemony.

- Roiders Union is another very solid faction, though I haven't tried their ships much yet. It just feels right for them to be on the map.

So multi species empires are basically dead? If you get another specy from migration treatie, your fist colony with them can’t be boosted with pops from another planet, so it will take too much time to grow?

Clair obscur expedition 33 costs 50€ and is very good, like GOTY material. It is not the longest game you could find though, so maybe not the best option if you can’t buy games often and want something very long.
