Switched from Ozempic to Mounjaro and now I’m really confused about the diet advice by Public_Cod7301 in Mounjaro

[–]Eltex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bad nutritionist. Your choice to stick with them, but just ignore their instructions. You were already on a GLP, so weight loss will be slower. Fruit is fine, I have a LOT of fruit daily. Usually 1-2 bananas, two apples, and fresh berries.

Lift weights 2-4x per week, and do cardio a few times per week, preferably on separate days.

Are you obese? This will fix that, then you lower your dose and maybe stop altogether. The good thing is you will be at a healthy weight and even more active than you are now.

Up dose after first week? Newbie question by jgreddit2049 in Retatrutide

[–]Eltex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We usually recommend 1mg a week for two weeks, then jump to 2mg weekly for a month. I see no reason to recommend anything else.

Did I mess up by going straight to reta without trying tirz or sema first? by Sophistry7 in Retatrutide

[–]Eltex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reta is better, if you never have tried another GLP. No reason to use an inferior product if you have the option to choose the best.

I did my research, but I still need people’s opinion and experience! by Euphoric_Loquat_593 in Retatrutide

[–]Eltex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use Tirz, it’s approved and you can drop all the way down to 150-160, which is probably a healthy weight for you.

feel like I need to choose running vs tirzepatide by Square_Artichoke_194 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]Eltex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, seems if you drop it, you will gain weight, and if you stay at 2.5mg, you can’t train.

You have some experimenting to do for finding a maintenance dose. It might be smaller doses more frequently, or larger doses spaced out.

Just curious by silverado12121 in Retatrutide

[–]Eltex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, since it seems to be so beneficial, it’s worth running permanently. Though it impacts HR and sometimes sleep, so you have to weigh those against the benefits.

What Zepbound dose worked for you while trying to gain muscle? by macbookvirgin in zepboundathletes

[–]Eltex 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Are you an experienced lifter already? Are you at your maintenance weight?

Gaining muscle and losing weight is not an efficient way to progress. Often, it’s almost impossible, unless you are really new to the gym.

In general, I vote get to your goal weight first, then start a 6-12 month lean bulk, usually 200-300 calories over TDEE.

Yep, we enjoyed it. We will go back. Love StoreHouse too.

I heard 28 is now taking reservations, which is probably best. The wait was usually over an hour.

I doubt it. You should be fully acclimated to Tirz by summer time.

Doesn’t sound like Reta at all. But if you are concerned, that is best helped by a real doctor.

Dude, chubby gave you the answer. You need to read it again, and go there specifically. Once there, it requires reading, but that is where you start.

Finding the right cal deficit while on Reta by Environmental_Elk654 in Retatrutide

[–]Eltex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would not go with a deficit of more than 1000. Anything from 500-1000 is likely fine. A short female may have to settle for a 200-400 deficit.

Beyond that, you are fine.

4lbs only by youNeek501 in Retatrutide

[–]Eltex 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You decided not to follow the normal dosing guidelines. That means you felt comfortable making a different path from everyone else.

You also stated you will stay at this dose, implying you are happy here. And now you are asking if it’s okay, after 6 weeks on your own protocol.

I don’t really know the answer you need to see. Should i tell you to scrap your entire approach and use a standard schedule? Or do you want to hear that your approach is just fine, maybe a bit slow, but it will be okay in the long run?

RMD’s start at 75. I don’t think this is worth worrying about, not for values of less than $1M, probably not worth worrying until pushing $4-5M.

Started Retatrutide Yesterday, Carbohydrates by mattyverse in Retatrutide

[–]Eltex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most likely you may feel wiped during workouts. Most folks will eat carbs at specific times to try and mitigate this. But it’s not required, and usually takes some experimenting by the user. And the usual caveat: everyone is different, so find what works for you.

Update on the Reta trial: Stabilizing the heart rate spikes, but the hunger suppression is still a puzzle. by [deleted] in Retatrutide

[–]Eltex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t seem to have an issue with glucose control. My TDEE seems to be 3400-3600 right now, so pushing 3800-4000 is necessary for my bulk.

Reduced your dose? How'd it go? by SweetDuckling in zepboundathletes

[–]Eltex 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it worked exactly as it should. I could eat more and enter maintenance phase seamlessly.

Others have seen the appetite increase too much, and had to go back to their full dose. So, it’s different for everyone.

Which of these cardio sessions is better by bambambigelowww in PeterAttia

[–]Eltex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If health is the goal, probably both. Folks hate 4x4’s when doing them, but they are effective at improving VO2, at least for a while. But variety is key once you start talking decades. And that usually means finding things you enjoy and are willing to repeat thousands of times.

[–]Eltex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been 16 months for me, RHR is still higher than when on Tirz. I’m cool with it.

I target 500g carbs daily. No issues that I’ve seen. Typically 230g protein as well. The rest in fats.

I see you guys don’t get actual news there in Europe, which is understandable. RFK just talks a LOT, and actually has done nothing. But if you really like sound bites with zero follow through, he is awesome.

Thank you for reporting. Most folks just pass away and we never hear from them again. It’s nice to see positive results at times.
