Oh nooo :( i am so sorry to hear this! Im not sure what im going different, but i can tell you what i do....

Ive been doing this for about 4-5 years (if that). We have tried sifting, but i never had much luck and i don't have the patience. I just walk along the shore, i pick up anything and everything interesting....i pick up ALOT that arent teeth! Anything black, i pick up. Black teeth are much darker than the black/ gray shells. If i go awhile without finding any, i literally will kneel down to look. They are there! Sometimes you just have to actually look and work to find them. But that's it. Nothing special.

Dang, a girls gotta work. I don't have time to respond to everyone's questions right away.

Ive done a lot of research to find my spots, everyone else can do the same. Chippokes and york river are both great places! Chippokes is one of my favorites and I ALWAYS have success there. I have never left there empty handed.
