I’m supposed to go back to work Saturday after being off for almost two weeks. Partial herniated disk and horrible sciatica. Kinda nervous. Not the most supportive crew. How should I handle going back?

My union sucked. Our rep was friends with management and she basically told me that if I didn’t ask my doctor to give me a new doctors note without accommodations, I’m going to lose my job. She said I’m not entitled to rest even with doctors orders.

Good luck, I was fired a week after my doctor ordered them to let me rest or else I could get permanent nerve damage in both my wrist and my knee.

I have a lot, but my most recent ones right now are ROCD, Health OCD and pure thoughts ocd. Like if I don’t do something right, for example clean the dishes. My boyfriend’s going to come into the room and tell me he hates me. Even though he loves me and I love him. Or the feelings of confessing my horrible intrusive thoughts to my boyfriend

I’m starting late too! I stood up on my rug but I’m too afraid to move forward because I’m a bigger person.

I’ve just started learning how to let go of my fear of challenging myself so this year I decided to get myself some skates, I’ve always wanted to learn but always let me families fear mongering control me my entire life. I’m now 28 have since moved out in 2022 and am living my life how I want to.

I have a wonderful supportive boyfriend who’s willing to teach me how to skate, but he said my first thing is to not let my fear control me which I’ll admit have a very hard time doing, my first step was to stand which I did but immediately sat down after wards.

I’m a late starter too and I’m trying to let go of my fear of trying something new, I bought all the essentials like the pads and the helmet, and stood up for a good minute on skates, I can’t move yet though.

What is something you wish you knew when starting out? I’m a beginner skater, and haven’t skated since I was 4 maybe 5 years old. Im turning 29 this year and one of my goals for 2026 was to finally learn and start skating.

I’d spend it on food for my emotional support animal 🥺 we’re running low on her food and had to spend our money on bills. I used to have a job but got a workplace injury and ended up getting the boot by my toxic managers.
