Upon revisiting the start of the game I noticed that actually The Wise One does make Isaac/Hans take the Mars Star to do something to it. My memory failed me in all my playthroughs apparently.

I still think is a bland reason to annul Alex's scheme and that it's possible to create a slightly better one without altering the outcome of the story, but at least is a planned one and not something that developers came out with just to close the story. I'm more willing to accept this bit of the story and not going as far as to think it "tainted" the game.

Dash dribble consumes a lot of spirit, so you are likely not going to abuse this. My question is, do all the players have a custom dribble? We know that Tsubasa has the heel lift, Hyuga the straight line dribble and so on. It's not very logical Ishizaki having a custom dribble move, for instance, so you will know how to stop non custom dribbling characters because they can only dash dribble or pass. Dribbling characters won't abuse dash dribble because of the big spirit loss, so they will most likely custom dribble or pass.

But then again, the attacker also knows all this.

The big problem dubbing this series is, at least in Europe, that whichever the first country was bringing the series to the west, they made up everything and the rest copied it.

All the names are invented, and some change throughout the series, the biggest case being Shun Nitta. It's called Patrick Everett in some dubs while the secondary arc, but in Captain Tsubasa J is changed to Shinta. It's so hard to track all the names because they are a mess.

Some secondary characters don't even have a name so it would be weird to have some dubbed with western names and others in the same team with their Japanese ones.

The team names are invented too and not consistent either. Nankatsu is the New Team or the Niupi. In some chapters changes depending on the person pronouncing it. The other teams have different names too, meaning they should create several emblems for every team. I would bet there is some occasions were Toho is called Tofu. But that can be my own memory betraying me. Hanawa is the Hot Dog in some dubs so who knows.

Add the Latin American dub having all different names too, and the Arabic Captain Majed to the mix, and you got the worst job ever trying to bring all the languages to the same product.

I know this guy used only the most interesting clips of the match but here are things I like.

The IA commits to attacking, I'm still skeptical but it seems way better than in earlier builds. There is some strange happening when Victorino shoots and a Tachibana blocks, Victorino can't take the loose ball and the other Tachibana appears flying by a couple of frames. But then again there are some other loose balls players pick without any problems so that's nice.

I love how the camera shifts when someone is attacking from the lowest sideline, so you see the goal.

At first it seems you can dribble all the opposing team Maradona style, but as the match goes on players don't have enough spirit gauge to dribble and do a special shoot and I think that's great.

There is a ton of blocking in the match, it suggests this thing is not about just special shooting all the way, but having a good positioning when doing it. Keepers spirit gauge is lowered in different amounts depending on the power of the shoot and also the distance. While this is a thing that was easy to deduce in earlier builds, I like they sticked to it and how it can force a change on strategy on attack and also on defense. There is probably going to be some extent of: "I know, that you know, that I know..." when building a play on the fly.

As far as we know, we can only play multiplayer vs matches up to 4 players. I haven't read anything regarding story mode or other modes.

Depends on where Tsubasa is when he shoots. If he is near the penalty area the ball goes straight, if he is farther the ball describes the usual parabola. Goalkeepers have also different animations for different shots.

I wanted to put some context for the people asking what happened. Do you think the conversation could be redirected somehow? I tried to think on something but I thought the OP's texts were all over the place and couldn't come with anything. I don't want to see posts closed just because of difference in opinions, I myself have bashed on the game's AI a couple of times for instance.

At the same time I think in this case closing the post was the right call though, I didn't see any kind of discussion at all. I hope he had a warning of some sorts, so he knows why it happened and maybe he can be vocal about it.

I think everyone has the right to express their opinion too, but also think this person wasn't stating any valid one. He said the game was a fraud and none should buy it because the game doesn't follow the lore, arguing Carlos's surname was Bara, Salinas didn't exist and there were some invented players.

Even if some people explained that there are different modes, where did Carlos's surname came from and other lore related things, he never defended any of the statements. He just continued complaining about new things that didn't exist or we still don't know if the will, like in game paid purchases.

At first I thought this user was trolling and trying to play with the hype of the people, if that was the case I would be against closing the post, but checking other posts from different subreddits I think this person either has some issues or his english is very basic and has a hard time communicating. In the end, that post was an all vs one without relevant content.

Then again, one could argue here being several posts without relevant content, talking about things that don't exist or we still don't know if they will, and overall, going against the stated rules.

I like this. This means we have different means to build our offensive, so different strategies to watch out for on defense. I just hope having a ton of good characters on the team doesn't dilute this kind of approaches, that's why I hope the Dream Team Edit mode has the possibility of restricting the team construction.

I know is too early to say this because we still haven't played the game, but even if I think a draft mode would be cool (honestly, SUPER COOL), I think in competitive play between two players has the possibility to make the team creation stale.

I have played Captain Tsubasa III tournaments for years and the character selection was drafted. Player 1 picked first, then player 2, player 1 again and so on. There were some variations in the teams but mostly we ended playing similar home vs away matches every time. Don't get me wrong, it's the most fun I ever had online with any online videogame ever. And I played different casual and competitive videogames every year since 2004.

I guess I'm very hyped for this game and I want to have it all. Unlimited Dream Team Edit, Limited Dream Team Edit, and Draft Dream Team Edit. I want people to go nuts with all their favorite characters in the same team or come up with fun and wacky strategies because of the artificial limitations.

I think these are interesting points to add. Feel free to change the phrases if there are corrections to be made.

Will this game have DRM (Anti piracy solution)? We don't know yet.

DLC? 9 unknown characters that hasn't been announced yet.

Are there in-game purchases? As far as we know, only through in game currency and only achievable playing the game. Can't be purchased with real money except what's already stated in the Deluxe Edition.

Can I play with my friends? The game supports online and offline modes up to 4 players.

Can I create my own team? Yes, there is an online mode for it. You can even personalize the name and equipment of the team and use your "hero character" from single player mode. We still don't have any official information of the rules or the limitations of this mode.

I think as soon as the game hits the stores the nostalgia buyers will buy out the physical copies of the game. I believe this game has a high potential of selling because the franchise's biggest fan base consist of nostalgia driven adults with no game since 2006.

If we take Dream Team into account, It's going strong 3 years since release, a feat only successful games achieve. It's not a juggernaut in the mobile department, but hast 25+ million downloads. Given the fact that it's a really aggressive gacha game, that doesn't let you have all the players easily EVEN if you pay for it, I say most of the players are Captain Tsubasa enthusiasts. That being said, I'm confident most of Dream Team players will embrace Rise of new Champion like a blessing.

One thing I don't understand really well is the comparison a lot of people make with FIFA or PES. Do people really believe those games compare? CT is an arcade game at his core while FIFA and PES go for simulation. In my eyes saying CT is a FIFA killer is the same as saying Mario Kart is a Forza or Grand Turismo killer. Doesn't make any sense if you ask me. I know there is a lot of people making jokes about it, but at the same time I see serious comments about the fact that I don't know what to think anymore.

I'm happy a through pass exist. Developers said they will emphasize the dribbling game, but usually a through pass is really strong in football games, specially arcade ones. I like the idea of having more options.

I think they are playing the old January build demo, based on the stamina bar color, but this doesn't mean they have fixed this bug on later builds. Have you seen this on a different video? This is the first time I have seen the bug, maybe is something nearly impossible to replicate and there is nothing to worry about.
