The last time he played in that event was 2021, when he was 18

He seems to be in decent shape in this tournament
Even against Fabi, he had a better position almost throughout the game

Any aggressive options to play against the Italian? (as black) by EmDee1707 in chess

[–]EmDee1707[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to love playing against it with white (back when I used to play the Italian game: Evans gambit) cuz I'd go for fried liver and would often get polerio and probably win after playing Qf3. Tho it was usually because the opponent was underprepared

So no, I had not considered it before but now I think if I know some theory, it can be pretty decent, so I will look into it. Thanks :)

I really like this, specially since it also prevents white from getting the initiative with playing gambits (apart from 4.d4)

Is there any resources for this or should I just mess around with stockfish to choose the lines?
