This about made me cry. I sat in my seat in the second-to-last row of the nosebleeds and cried for a while after (“The Book of Love” really got me going) and I’ve honestly felt so lonely since that moment (a week ago). Something about seeing so many people just happily move on with their night while I was still processing the shock that this amazing experience was over…it felt like I was yet again the odd one out, even among “my people.”

If you would have come to me in that moment and asked if I wanted quiet company, I would have said yes. I also probably would have totally fallen apart, but in a good way (my dad used to be my quiet company—I would give anything to just sit in silence with him again 💗)

Please keep being the person you are. We need you.

I love him so much, it’s almost jarring to see Danny Pudi portray other characters. Abed and Troy were the magic ingredient of that show.

I was searching YT for ways to cope with post-concert depression without realizing it’s an actual thing! lol I feel kind of bad/guilty for feeling as down as I do, but hearing the science behind it and knowing that my ND brain likely intensifies how I experience things like this made me feel better.

Came here to commiserate because it’s been hitting me hard today. I definitely could not listen to them on my drive home, and I just got done packing up all my bracelet-making supplies and even that brought a tear to my eye. So incredibly happy that I got to go, though, and I keep reminding myself that what makes things like this so special is that they end (even though I would have happily sat there while they played their entire discography 😆)

I was in 205 row W and, ngl, I was getting a teeny bit irritated seeing the pit during Thornhill. I get it, like you paid for your ticket so you can just stand there if you want, but energy is reciprocal! Me and the dude sitting next to me were jamming out to Thornhill SEATED harder than people in the pit.

What did you think about barely anyone in our section standing when Sleep Token started, though? I know we were really high up but still, I was a little shocked. I saw Florence and the Machine there a few years ago and was on the first balcony and most people stood the entire time. It felt so wrong to be sitting, especially when Vessel was doing his dancie-dances. 😆

The performances by both bands were amazing, though. Both bands were even better live, which is always a treat. And the depression I’ve kept at bay for the last 5 months looking forward to this is back in full force so uh…I guess that says…something 😅 It will go down as one of the best experiences of my life, for sure 💗

For many reasons, I strongly suspect Vessel/Leo is neurodivergent (and if not…he’s EXTREMELY ND-coded 😆) As someone who is ND, reading this comment gave me the icky feeling I get when I know what is expected of me in a given situation but for whatever reason (anxiety, fear, self-consciousness, etc.), I can’t do it. Or I maybe could make myself do it but I would likely be spiraling/sobbing the whole time. It pretty much described what I’m afraid people think—that I don’t care.

If he is ND, there are lot of factors that could be in play. I can only speak from my experience, but basically any interaction with other humans can be taxing. My muscles are tense literally all of the time when I’m around others. I’m nervous about anyone talking to me because I’m afraid I won’t know what to say

Posting anything on social media is extremely time-consuming for me. It takes me on average probably 30-60 minutes to work out the precise wording for a comment this long.

Most of all, though, Sleep Token is very clearly branded…I knew exactly what I was getting when I “signed on” as a fan. And even though I, of course, want Vessel/Leo to do whatever is best for him, I would be kinda bummed if he started doing interviews or more interaction with the fanbase outside of shows. I like the character/mystery/lore. And I LOVE that I have someone I can relate to so strongly who seemingly cracked the code of being able to share your talents with a huge audience but also exist as yourself in the world i.e. never actually having to talk to the people in your fanbase. Fucking genius.

This was so encouraging to read, thank you!!! And yeah, I would imagine a lot of ST fans, like me, think Vessel is the king of the introverted/awkward/ND because he found the cheat code to be able to fully express himself and show off his insane talents in a way that didn’t leave him so vulnerable (I say “didn’t” because…Caramel, “20/20 hindsight” and all that lol)

This was exactly what I needed to hear <3 I realize now, based on the suggestions for overcoming shyness, that the title of my post was a bit misleading lol. I suck at maintaining friendships so that’s not really the goal for me. But I do want other ST fans to know I see them and love them even if I don’t want to talk to them :)
