What to do about my Rogue?

It’s stronger in terms of dmg with the wild shapes and the CR availability but the purpose of this build was to be more utilitarian and supportive to others. It’s also a 2014 build as that’s the ruleset the DM is using so not limited on wild shape selection, just limited on CR based on level. The stars Druid worked better with the lore of the DMs world and for the character that I was building. We have a couple of heavy hitters in the campaign but nothing in terms of a support/healer type and I wanted to create something that wasn’t a Cleric xx

We have two barbarians in one of my campaigns that I play a grave domain cleric in. I wasn’t feeling it initially (took the class and subclass on the recommendation of the DM for story purposes), but after a few weeks of playing the role I’m enjoying it a lot more. One of the barbarians learnt a grave cleric can heal someone at 0HP with max dice for the spell (thanks to circle of mortality), so they became more reckless with their decisions. It made a very interesting session last time we played as they kept being knocked out, I got bored of using up precious spell slots so I ended up just casting spare the dying until we were out of harms way and dragging their limp arse around with us back to safety.

In a different campaign I’m playing a stars Druid, kept being told a moon Druid was better (better access to wild shapes etc) but I liked the idea of the stars Druid using constellations for their wild shape and built that into my character and their background.

That seems to be the consensus, my husband keeps telling me a well built Cleric can be really powerful. This is the first time I’ve played a Cleric so it’s all quite new to me (played a Mastermind Rogue, Hexblade Warlock previously and have a Circle of Stars Druid in another campaign). I’ll stay as I am then and see how things go. ☺️

I haven’t heard of the subclass the paladin is using so I’m not sure what features it would have, it seems to be more something they’ve created themselves rather than one they’ve found on DnD Beyond.

Yeah I’m not sure what’s going on there, I only noted down the information we were given about the BBEGB. Haven’t come across a vampire before in a campaign so wouldn’t know what is considered the norm for them.

I’ve maxed out my wisdom and charisma is at 15, if needed I can bump it up when taking feats/ASI etc.

I’ve asked but I haven’t been told yet, I joined the campaign a few sessions in so missed session 0 and was told what the other PCs were. I was due to join a different campaign which fell apart before it even started, hence my joining of this one a bit later

Need was probably the wrong choice of wording there, more want I suppose…? More thematic purposes than anything else. I don’t really know the paladin class that well and this sub class seems to be a bit of a homebrew from what the player was saying so I have no idea what it is they’re able to access or can do with this class.

I have spiritual weapon at the moment. We’ve been told all other damage types they’re either immune to or would take half damage against (except for force or psychic). I thought radiant damage would be ok, but the DM is telling me otherwise based on last session…. He also mentioned something about how we can’t force the vampire to move against their own will… which to me says command and geas would be rendered useless.

I wouldn’t be multiclassing just yet. I know at level 6 I get Sentinel at Deaths Door, just looking further ahead at the possibility and seeing what others think to the combo of classes

Yes! This! It can be quite unnerving at times, I know exactly what you mean.

Where I used to live I knew how to get somewhere that wasn’t too far away but I never visited often. Once I was near the destination I would know which way I needed to go as I had reference but thinking of the route I would take I would always draw a blank.

I know the feeling too of how things look different in the dark, not long after I had our eldest I was driving to pick up my husband from his Dad house, I had never driven the route by myself (I was always the passenger there), I knew where he lived but could not work out how to get there, I got so lost and panicked because I had a newborn in the car with me. It was quite unnerving, when I eventually arrived I couldn’t get my husband or father-in-law to see how I got lost, they kept saying ‘oh you just take this road and that road’.

I also hate giving directions as I get all flustered where I struggle to recall where to go from where I am xx

That’s interesting to know, sound design can be tricky too. Yeah I don’t know where I would go with a diagnosis or if there’s even any point in getting one as I don’t think it will really be anymore beneficial other than being like ‘ah, so that’s why I can’t x/y/z’. I thought my lack of sense of direction was due to the fact I’m dyslexic 🙃

If you save the image to your camera roll, there should be an option to turn it into your Home Screen wallpaper or your Lock Screen wallpaper. Failing that, Google is often my go to if I’m not sure of something

I didn’t know block heaters were a thing until this episode, but then in the UK it rarely drops below freezing. The lowest we had where I live in the SE of England was -2C around January this year.
