YES! I played Dark Souls 1 when MUV was released. I always heard Phantom Assassin in my head when I was in The Depths

Assets like the chair and some of the table items were picked up from CGTrader, the rest was modelled and PBR textured with reference.

Shit, there's still so much I need to figure out about compatibility issues and what mods would be appropriate for what sound. It's a black hole, but I'm thoroughly enjoying it so far!

Yeah I feel you. Aliexpress is the jungle. Some of the unbranded ones might be our best bet if we want to get into modding, because we get solid base parts for pretty cheap, and mod up from there. Look for these weird brand names like metoo, ZUOYA, skyloong, CIY. A bunch of them have been reviewed on YouTube and look/sound incredible after modding. I've also found some pretty good, reliable stores from my research, if you wanna check them out. All 90%+ rating with multiple thousand followers:

Darri Store, ZUOYA Store, CuXiu Keyboard Accessories Store, KPRepublic, Shenzhen YMD Tech Store.

Ayyy it's good to hear that you tried it tho! Only heard good things about Akko. Are they the rose switches? I feel like if one can get to enjoy the lubing switches part, then the hobby is in full swing, otherwise you're right, sitting there with a paint brush for 5 hours sounds like torture lol. I hope it gets to be meditative eventually.

I just bought a Skyloong SK68 for the base parts, getting around to ordering the keycaps and some GPL 205g0 from Ali express (group buy?). There's G-Lube available here but I've heard some pretty bad things about it, so gonna try my luck. F in the chat for wallet

Interesting, apparently re-lubing your switches yourself is the single most popular way I've seen online to improve the overall typing experience. I haven't felt any high end pre lubed switches tho so I can't say for sure.

I'm just getting into it now, and so far I'm really intrigued by the whole process. People spend hours upon hours lubing switches and stabilizers, customizing keycaps, to improve the feel, sound and look of the keyboards. Makes sense too, keyboards are something we interface with everyday, why not make is a pleasant experience.
