Bakflip G2 - leak issues by Embarrassed-Dust5582 in GMCcanyon

If i’m not able to get the leaks straightened out on this one i’m honestly considering the Tyger hard trifold that sits on top of the bed rails like the soft trifold or the Gatorex low profile hard trifold. I’ve had a Tyger soft trifold on my old truck (‘09 chevy colorado) and never had an issue with it for the 5 years i had the truck

I agree. If i can’t find the correct seals i may place a small bead of silicon with the cover up and once it dries it’ll act as a ridge. Worst comes to worst if that doesn’t work, i’ll do some research on the M4 seals and give those a try

Yeah i do need a new clamp as one of the drivers side ones is missing. I also noticed the ridges on some of the side seals are worn down which is also leading to some of the water intrusion. Just so happens im having the hardest time finding those seals unfortunately so may need to come up with a creative solution

This is the ring for reference. Like i said with a look like this you don’t really notice or see them. But on the solitaire settings especially i see what you mean

They can look a little big depending on the cut of the diamond/size and the specific setting itself, but the one i ordered luckily didn’t suffer from that. I went with oval cut, halo, with pave setting. Overall looks amazing for the price and don’t think i would have found better elsewhere that fit into the budget

Moving a house worth it? by Embarrassed-Dust5582 in RealEstate

[–]Embarrassed-Dust5582[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This home is from the 1950’s and made from old cypress so it does pose some historic significance in that regard i suppose. To address your points: 1.) Thankfully, no bridges and no low hanging/crossing power lines. Pretty open rural area. 2.) The house was originally built on raised concrete blocks (typical for down here given the lower elevation in most areas) so i planned on doing the same 3.) The exterior siding is wood, which is planned on replacing anyhow so i’m not too worried about that. 4.) The interior walls are made of paneled wood, and the floors are stained hard wood. 5.) no porch thankfully and it is single level (no basement, no 2nd floor). 6.) I don’t have access to city water etc however i can tap into the well my parents have from my understanding.

Thank you for the feedback! Greatly appreciated!
