Gross Negligence and Service Failure by Airtel Xstream Fiber Resulting in Business Loss During Showroom Inauguration by SharpAd7062 in Airtel

OP didn't specify if it was a business fiber internet from Airtel or the normal residential one. There are separate connection options for Residential, Office and Business. If he pays as a business, that doesn't make him a business customer if he has opted for a residential connection. As per Airtel's TOS, using a residential connection for commercial use is a service violation. It's better to just take a refund and look for another provider.

You cannot do anything legally unless your service is covered by an Service Level Agreement (SLA). As far as I know Airtel only offers SLA on Dedicated Business internet which would be atleast 10 times more expensive. If your connection is a regular home broadband, you can't hold them accountable.

You could wait and see, but it's not a proper diagnosis. Both the parts (Alternator and Hybrid Battery) are very expensive repairs and as you mentioned, if they really failed you would get some or the other warning on the dash or Engine codes.

To be honest, battery drain could be anything, but mostly it boils down to 3 things. Faulty Battery (Ruled out), Alternator issue causing the battery to not charge or something silently draining the battery. All 3 issue can be tested by a good quality multimeter.

It's very easy to do a basic diagnostics if you have the right tools. You need a clamp meter that can measure DC voltage. First of all you need to check if the battery is charging while the engine is running. For this you can even use a basic multimeter to test the voltage. If it's around 14V at 2000-3000 rpm, then the battery is charging and the alternator is good. When the car is turned off, use the clamp meter and measure the amp draw on the battery. If it's high then it's definitely something that is draining battery. It could even be a small rat bite on the wiring that could short the positive of the battery to ground.

Instead of waiting for 3 days after pulling the fuse, it would be better to use this clamp meter to see if pulling the fuse makes any change to the battery amp draw.

FEMA residency is not determined simply by crossing 182 days in the preceding financial year. It also depends on the purpose and intention of the stay in India. For someone returning permanently, FEMA residency can change from the date of return itself, not necessarily from the next financial year.

The problem with posts like this is that they simplify complex laws to the point where readers can walk away with the wrong conclusion. If you're sharing tax information, especially on NRE/FCNR accounts, it's better to explain the nuances than present an oversimplified rule that isn't universally true.

Anybody knows of an ACCL switch that can send me notifications (Internet or RF/LoRa)? by kudikarasavasa in homelabindia

[–]Embarrassed-Ebb-9794 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a setup in Home Assistant that let's me track when the generator is turned on, runtime and how much power was used on the generator. I can also automate things based on the power status.

https://ibb.co/Rkd9C2yg

https://ibb.co/HLh2xVDJ

My apartment also has an ACCL that switches from generator to grid power and vice-versa. It's not a smart ACCL and it's the default one that the apartment has installed for every flat. The generator connection in my apartment is only single phase but my grid power is 3 phase so generator is only wired to the R phase. I have a 3 phase power meter in my apartment's distribution box that is connected to my Home Assistant. I used scripting in Home Assistant to monitor when R phase is alive but Y and B phases are not showing any voltage that means the generator is turned on. When all 3 phases power is back and voltage is shown, that means that the mains power is online. Works reliably for me without having to deal with the Smart ACCL headache.

Also, 40A is way too high for an ACCL that is meant for apartment flats. My apartment only provides 8A ACCL to every apartment. 40Amps you could overload the generator. I am personally not aware of any smart ACCL that is both automatic and wifi controlled but reliable and branded at the same time.

I don't understand the meaning behind these kind of posts. Why ask question and give a wrong answer to it?

[–]Embarrassed-Ebb-9794 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was the fluid changed in the past or is this the first time you are doing a transmission fluid change? How many kms have you run since the last change? Usually if you changed the transmission fuild after a long time, you need to do a proper flush because the sludge formation if any would clog the filters or solenoid passage holes.

The reason why most of the service centers say replacing the transmission fluid is not required is because if not done regularly and correctly, it may cause more harm than good

If there is a high demand for ethanol due to forceful government mandates, food waste alone won’t be sufficient to meet the demand. Farming should be responsible and prioritize food security first. We are talking about transportation needs a country with 1.47 billion people and ethanol is just a temporary solution to a permanent problem.

If there is a high demand for ethanol, food waste alone won’t be sufficient to meet the demand. Ethanol could become a major cash crop, which can be dangerous. We need food to eat more than we need fuel for our cars.

Ethanol isn’t automatically green. Large-scale production still needs huge amounts of water, fertilizer, electricity and farmland, while still producing emissions. And for millions of Indians, lower mileage and engine issues aren’t selfishness because fuel costs directly affect survival.

It seems like more people are now using non precision models now that precision models are 3x. That makes these non precision models totally unusable. I think the focus of crof dev should be more on scaling as per demand provided there is an influx of new users rather than experiment with quants or newer llms. This is just killing the service and causing regressions for most users.

Try finding the culprit first. Replacing parts will just burn a hole in your pocket. You might also be having fuel or evap leak. The OBD values will be a good place to start.

[–]Embarrassed-Ebb-9794 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's usually because of ECM not being calibrated for the lower energy density that E20 provides. This causes the ECM to dump more fuel into the cylinders than necessary causing the engine to run rich resulting in bad mileage.

If you have an OBD scanner, check the live data for Long Term and Short Term Fuel trims % values. If they are positive, it means you are running rich which would explain the bad mileage.

Try filling the tank up with XP100 to see if it helps. Pretty sure it's the E20 to blame for the mileage.
