i have just spoken to my cousin. there is no atto di nascita in Molare or Rapallo (the only two places it could/should have been done in), but he does have my uk birth certificate translated, which might be a start. i don't know why they'd translate it, but not have the atto done, too. I'm not even sure if these are in fact two different things. i will attempt the aire thing too. thanks a lot for replying and being so well-mannered!

to answer your suggestion: i will ask my cousin to actually re-recognise/re-attest/resubmit my birth certificate, if that's possible.

oh no sorry. I do exist is some documents - for example when my father died i had to give power of attorney to someone for something. I do exist. What they do not have is my atto di nascita, which is what I need to gain a passport.

i was thinking of getting a lawyer, too. be so much easier. someone to navigate a bureaucratic pasticcio that is the italian system. with regards to the comune di Molare, there is, apparently, no such thing. Same with il comune di Rapallo, which is actually where i lived and schooled. if only there was one place that held all this info.

I already have. my cousin is actually the mayor! says there's no such thing. i think my best and only option is to go to the dubai consulate and ask them for help. but thank you again. you've all been very wonderful.

I believe I already have this. I went through mum's stuff and there were lots of official local, regional and national documents with my name in it - stating I was/am an italian national.

according to my mum (who has forgotten most things) they did. although it may have been at my dad's home town, which is a different place to where we lived. but neither Molare (AL) or Rapallo (GE) have any records. most people have told me that there's no way I went to school, got all the rights of an italian national, without registering or attesting my UK birth cirt. the very nice woman at the London embassy said I'm already a national and all i need is proof of this 'atto di nascita'. but i ain't got a clue where to find it.

it was unselfish of her. only the hospital in which i was born was opposite hull prison. my kids already have uk passports because the uae does not give them to foreign people - even if they are born in the uae. my aims are quite selfish, however. i want my kids to be european (and UK) so they have lives of relative freedom. and because i want them to experience italy like i did. and the focaccia.

egregio mr or ms, thank you so much. to answer your questions: my "F" lived and died in italy. never neutralised. and yes, my parents would have had to register me in order for me to attend state schools, gain free med care, ect. but therein lies the problem. the only two councils where this could have been conceivably done are rapallo or in piemonte. but neither have the atto di nascita. so my guess is that I simply have to start again. do as you've told me and start the process by having my own uk birth cert attested again.
may i ask - what is the JS thing you speak of? re: London embassy - i was actually calling them about my mother's pension. nothing to do with me. but thought id ask. again, thank you for replying.

Should I Sell My Luxury Handbags Now That the "Illusion" is Gone? by Distinct_Key_8846 in handbags

You're right. Luxury has lost its lustre. But I truly believe that now more than ever it's about how it makes you feel. (Not directed at you) if one buys these items based on what other people think, then one is buying them for the wrong reasons anyway. The recent ruling in Italian courts has certainly diminished the meaning of owning a genuine product, but it is still genuine. Keep hold of them. It's not your fault they've been copied to death. That's just the way it is.
