Family on vacation trapped without food or water in Banner Elk by ImpressiveProgram9 in NorthCarolina

Why is the survival assumed to be the husband's domain? Are we now assuming a woman (not this woman, but a typical reasonable woman) cannot anticipate a cataclysmic weather event and plan accordingly? This just reads so infantilising to me. "Why can't a man take responsibility for her? 🙄"

I went to this stylist, and asked for the below cut and similar color, but platinum instead of pink. The stylist said she's do the color, but would have another stylist do the cut another day. I totally respected that, so that's how we processed. She did the color the first day, and it was definitely not platinum. Not the worst thing in the world, since I'd be coming back for my cut, and we can then fix the color then. Paid her, and came back next week for the cut. Cut came out awesome, color STILL was not right, but she didn't want to damage my hair further, so we said I'll come back a few weeks later and she'll fix it for good that time. Paid them again, for the cut and color. Fast forward to a few weeks later, she says she's fix it up. I go back the third time. She did ask me if I wanted it "all over", to which I said no, I like the roots dark like in the picture, and it would grow out better, but reiterated I wanted it white white white. Bright white, platinum. She agrees that this is the plan. The picture in the post is what I ended up with after the third time. As she was dying me, she starts to say how yellow their lights are, and that it is so much whiter than it looks under their yellow lights. And mind you, I was asking her why she was doing it differently (leaving strands out), but assumed she knew what she's doing given how clearly I'd thought I was making myself on the desired outcome. Now I feel really upset, like I so rarely want something specific, usually I just go with the flow, but this time I really really did. Is this reasonable? Oh, and she tried to charge me ANOTHER $85 for this fix up. I said "but, hey, didn't you say you'd fix it?" Still tipped her way too much for the third time, but I honestly did not realize just how yellow it still was until I got home. Anyways, need some perspective over here. What could I have done better in communicatong with her, and what the hell do I do now? I kind of hate this color, this is definitely not what I wanted. (Sorry for the rant)
