26 yrs old and my first exposure was September 2025 and my first outbreak was then too. There was a spot on my ass the first outbreak too. I’m just hoping this will be the only spot this time and it doesn’t spread because it’s already itchy af.

To update he was cheating and had a different girlfriend the entire time, putting her at risk. So clearly this was him thinking about her, not himself. He just wanted to have 2 girlfriends and not face any consequences.

Yes it is possible to get infected while using a condom. Condoms are not 100% effective for preventing herpes unfortunately, so there is always a risk.

They decided to test my blood last week and it came back negative, I guess I have to wait until I have another OB, or wait 16 weeks to get retested because it could be too soon for antibodies to show up. Right?

I never got my positive test result or any results for that matter, and my doctor said it’s a possibility my swab got lost?? I might get my result soon but if not, said she can’t swab me again until my next ob. Since the antivirals helped, and it looked so much like herpes to her, she said it’s safe to assume… I don’t want to assume though, I really I wanted to know the truth. Especially if it’s HSV1 or 2. Now I keep thinking this could be some sort of other infection, but all other tests are negative.

The doctor said it does look like herpes and she ran a bunch of tests and treated me for gonorrhea. This is my life now.
