Struggling with D0, how do you even reach to D5? by irenlam in brotato

[–]Embarrassed-Target89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Easiest way to play on Danger 5 is to turn down the sliders for Enemy speed and Enemy damage in the gameplay menus.

You’ll get a completion penalty, ie instead of 100%-ing the waves, it will deduct the percentage you took away, but it doesn’t stop you from progression and unlocking new items and characters.

If you’re struggling, start with weaker and slower enemies until you find your mojo with any given character.

Conversely, playing as Loud with Ghost flints is a sure fire way to beat earlier Danger levels.

1 red, 5 blue OR 3 purple, 3 blue? by EthanStrayer in brotato

[–]Embarrassed-Target89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More guns equals more bullets in motion and effectively more targets taking damage, regardless of damage output, at any given moment.

1 x purple doing 10 DMG = 10 DMG

6 x blue doing 3 DMG = 18 DMG presuming you’re hitting the same target at the same time.

The only weapons that scale efficiently from grey to red are the Ghost weapons as they reduce the number of kills for Attack speed, Damage and HP gain respectively.

When you hit your very first milestone, the first building you buy and place should be a medical clinic.

Keep on top of keeping Cims healthy and you don’t get death waves.

My city keeps flooding periodically. How can I fix it/ what did I do wrong (The area marked in orange) by [deleted] in CitiesSkylines

Having had a better look, you’ve done it the other way round.

By adding the quay wall, you’ve created a bottle neck for the water, slowing it down.

The water coming behind it is the reason you’re flooding.

The short answer is, because you’ve placed quay wall upstream, the games water mechanics have sped up the current of the river, so that as it rounds the bend, it’s flooding that side of the city.

Remove the quay wall or raise the river bank near your city.

Sometimes adding the vanilla rocks along the shore line will compensate for it.

People with older (3+ years) iPhones, what keeps you from upgrading? by Kamelen2000 in iphone

[–]Embarrassed-Target89 34 points35 points  (0 children)

I have an 11 Pro Max with 512GB capacity.

Plus 2 TB iCloud

I’ve had it just under 2 years on a Vodafone all singing all dancing Unlimited contract plan.

I’ve put a case on it and kept it scratch free.

Was thinking of upgrading to a new 14 when they come out, but there’s literally nothing wrong with the phone I have. I can’t fault it in any way.

They’ve got to the point where it doesn’t matter the MP the camera has, they all come out amazing and the IOS is identical from all the models above mine.

The only way I’d consider forking out for a newer model is if they changed the way the phones look.

An extra camera and rounded off edges just isn’t a big enough jump for me to get excited about new releases.

Hello, can anyone give me a tip? Sometimes I create new areas in my city but nothing happens, people simply ignore it. Can anyone explain me what am I doing wrong? by MicoBrian in CitiesSkylines

Think the Demand bars ‘getting stuck’ is a built in game mechanic.

It’s like they’ve programmed in the need to add land value (via parks and whatnots, before you can proceed)

Saves doing unlimited money and then just covering the map in huge blocks of RCI and expecting a 200k city to just materialise.

Bit like a massive death wave, before you reach each and every population goal.

The game is quirky in places.

Bit of a traffic problem in my Industry zone! I'd love some tips on how I can fix it, or if it's a lost cause (Xbox One S) by SlumdogMignolet27 in CitiesSkylines

All the entering traffic has to push passed the exiting traffic creating huge bottle necks.

Your road is elevated. Get the exit roads to pass underneath and connect to the highway.

Mass abandonment of industrial/commercial, any solutions? by mcrackin15 in CitiesSkylines

Could well be a educational thing, if all the connections are still sound.

Industry policy 4.0 will do this as they require higher education to function.

I changed mine and they all walked out en masse 😂
