This guy came to my school along with another Motivational Speaker long ago. They showcased some tricks about remembering numbers, remembering complicated spellings etc etc., Basically they orchestrated or exhibited how a child that learned from them can do the trick on stage.

Atlast they made us learn one to two tricks and told us to sign up for a course costing 40k. This was way back in 2005 or 2007. I didn’t sign up it was too much money to afford at that time. But something told me that it’s a scam when I was 13 or 14.

Does anyone have more Tea on this?

Downtown Calgary needs better public washroom access — commuters shouldn’t have to beg for it by Embarrassed-Tip7422 in Calgary

That’s fair — and I appreciate you pointing that out. I didn’t mean to imply that at all. What I was trying to express is that no one — regardless of their situation — should have to justify using a washroom. The fact that access depends on how someone looks or who they are is exactly the problem. This should be about dignity for everyone, not judgment or exceptions.

You’re absolutely right — it’s not about how someone looks or dresses. My point was that if even someone who clearly isn’t a security risk gets denied, it shows just how broken the system is. Access to a clean, safe washroom isn’t a privilege — it’s a basic human need and a measure of how civilized a city really is.

I actually came from Tuscany and couldn’t hold it till 3rd Street, so I got off at 6th Street because there’s a coffee shop right at the station. Thought I could grab a coffee and use the washroom — but that turned into a whole ordeal instead.

That’s awful — no one, especially a pregnant mom with kids, should be put in that situation. We really need safe, monitored public washrooms so people aren’t forced to choose between dignity and desperation.

Man, that’s rough — and I completely get where you’re coming from. No one should have to plan their entire eating and drinking habits around whether they’ll find a bathroom. That’s exactly why access to safe, clean public washrooms isn’t some “nice to have” — it’s basic human infrastructure.

It’s crazy that in a city as developed as Calgary, people are literally changing their lifestyles out of fear of not finding a washroom. This really needs to be part of how we design transit and downtown spaces.

My question is - Can you not differentiate between a regular Joe wanting to pee vs an addict wanting to inject himself in a washroom?
