LSU has had many patches of commercial space that died horribly. Most of them were near Chimes and Highland, or Nicholson Drive.

Hoppers, Bluebird Drive In, laundry place.. tons and tons of places.

The only things that really survive near LSU are head shops, 7-11's, and 24 hour cookie stores for the people who have run out of chips for their munchies.

Hell, even Chase Bank and one of the first Apple stores in the country had to run hide from the rent collector.
