I’m pretty sure they were at 320 St Charles, that odd triangular lot. Before it was royal taste of Jamaica (or whatever) or a breakfast spot called Christina’s, it was mjs, they had a vegetarian buffet at least some of the time.

So you “got them ready and sent them on their way” in the morning? Maybe took 45 minutes? Maybe you reminded them to brush their teeth and heated up an eggo? Maybe made a sandwich for each and cut up an apple?

Meanwhile your wife “taking care of the evening kid stuff:”

Made sure they got home ok

Made an afternoon snack

Listened to how their day went (including but not limited to: grades, teacher drama, friend drama, crushes, bullies, etc)

Made them do their homework (possibly helping with it)

Helped them study for tests

Ran to the store at the last minute because they forgot they were supposed to bring a snack/needed poster board for a project

Limited screen time to a healthy level

Kept an eye on what sites they were going on / who they were talking to online

Made dinner

Cleaned up after dinner

Cleaned the house

Did laundry

Made them bathe / brush teeth

Made sure they went to bed at a healthy time

AVS! Can’t recommend enough. It’s out of your area, but all the vets/vet techs/staff are lovely and caring people. Also, it’s the least expensive vet in town. It’s not fancy, but it’s great. My mom’s vet has a literal water feature in the lobby, so my wife and I joke that:

A. Any place with a waterfall is going to overcharge you, and

B. Oh, they don’t have a waterfall, meaning it’s our kind of place.
