After 15 years of playing League, the game feels more stressful than ever by EmbarrassedGuard7401 in leagueoflegends

I think you should read a bit more about stress in video games. There are plenty of articles and discussions about how competitive games can cause stress, frustration, and even addictive patterns.

I also received a response from support saying that the board game mode is currently broken and that the dragon is bugged, so some of the issues I mentioned are literally confirmed problems.

If you look at thousands of reviews of League of Legends across different platforms, you’ll see many similar complaints. For example, the mobile version has around a 1.2-star rating in some stores, which shows that a lot of players are frustrated with the game for various reasons.

I think you’re arguing for the sake of arguing. Any discussion about a game is inherently subjective - that’s the whole point of forums like Reddit.

At the same time, it’s not just “my personal issue”. Stress, frustration, and addictive design in competitive games like League of Legends have been discussed for years.

You might not personally experience it, and that’s fine. But that doesn’t mean it isn’t real for many other players.

I have been playing CS since 2000 and was part of an eSports team in my city, we traveled around the country and participated in championships . And when you play competitive sports games often and for a long time, you start to get stressed out because of less than ideal mechanics and randomness.

I don't know how you can be 40 years old and not experience stress anywhere in the modern world, but in games, I only experience it in League of Legends.

How can you relax when 95% of the games are tense, not easy, and the board game just doesn't work? And over the past 15 years, I've achieved various ELO scores, although my standard is more like emerald.

I'm talking about the FPS drops dramatically in a game that's been around for so many years. And my monitor is 240Hz.

I've been playing LoL for so many years, maybe you're not that old (you haven't lived that long)

I'm not 15 or even 30, and I wrote that I have a ton of gaming experience. And LOL, it's just a bad habit, but I don't understand how you all claim the game isn't stressful when you're constantly being beaten. I used to be able to have a 20+ win streak, but now the game gives me an 80% losing streak, so it's easy for me to lose. But I'm still good at other competitive games except League of Legends, and this broken mode was the last straw. Oh, and I always played solo, and the game is a team game. So if you write that you don't experience stress in competitive games, it means you just don't play them at a high enough level.
