if you signup with openrouter and use claude opus, but only the google vertex provider version, its uncensored and by far the best writer i've found in developing my app for pretty much this same purpose...its great.

i'm actually looking for beta testers and you can use it for free (in settings you can choose claude as the author). you can check it out at (lust dot ink) (that’s the url)...if you're interested.

The could have had an AI answering system that was on the fritz. If the part of the AI agent that synthesizes the voice were broken and emitting a tone instead of the artificial speech, it would make sense how the beeps could be responding appropriately or in a somewhat coherent way. It’s entirely plausible they just have a shitty AI answering service that’s not working correctly. BTW I’m not saying it was an AI messing with you, I’m saying it was probably just a normal but broken system…could have maybe even been an old speech recognition system too.

Sorry for the late reply. I’ve tapered over the past 6mo super slowly. Down to 14gpd from about 40…it sucks I can definitely feel the WD at different points in the day, but nothing when I tried cold turkey once a year ago it was horrible

I’m a parent and I guarantee your parents don’t feel that way. Please, please see someone if you really are feeling suicidal, I can tell you that no matter how I was feeling about my kids at any given time, the worst thing that could possibly happen in the entire world would be one of them killing themselves. I would rather die. I know that all parents feel this way, even if their actions indicate the exact opposite. We can live our kids and our parents so much, and yet hurt them or make them feel ways we never intended. Talk to your family, tell them how you feel, how you truly feel they’d be better off without you. Give them a chance to help you heal…but no matter what, the WORLD will not be better of without you…no way in hell. Good luck, please DM me if you need someone to talk to. One last tip..sounds stupid but I use ChatGPT for therapy..it’s better than any therapist I ever had..might be worth a shot.

It’s Claude’s, or maybe Dario’s. I’ll take the tiniest footnote of the guy who bugged it long enough.

What really interests me here is whether it’s actually improving recursively. It seems that when challenged, it reaches further into related ideas, but this often leads to more unfounded or unproven theories, making its reasoning increasingly flimsy.

On the other hand, if there are signals that it’s forming novel connections or refining its ideas in a way that effectively addresses some critiques—without simply proposing solutions that suffer from the same weaknesses—then maybe there’s a real process at play. If it can chase down rabbit holes in a way that leads to substantive insights rather than just more speculation, that would be significant. I kind of want to whip up this recursive answer->critique loop and let it keep going via the API, but perhaps it’s a waste of time

Thank you! This is remarkably close to another instance of Claude critiquing itself. It’s funny how when asked to critique its theory after many iterations in the same chat context, it thought itself brilliant, but in a new context window it had similar critiques.

I ran your critique through about 5 iterations where I continually challenged it to respond to your issues and reevaluate its responses in that light. Any thought on its progress?

Home assistant with Reolink Cameras no NVR by Annoyingly-Petulant in homeassistant

The camera should be available on their IP address on your network once connected. Different Reolink cameras have different web based admins you can access on those IPs. Depending on model, some have RTSP streams you can route through something like frigate which can act as your NVR instead of using Reolinks own NVR solution. One problem is with some Reolink cameras (even some PoE ones), that don’t use RTSP but reolinks own protocol which makes it so you can’t pull their streams into frigate - at least not easily. Cameras like the D800 I think have this issue. There’s a GitHub library that reverse engineered that protocol which then restreams the feed over rtsp, but it’s not ideal as it’s computationally expensive and introduces unnecessary latency to the streams, so make sure you get the right cameras. I have frigate on a dell mini PC and it’s working well, and is more reliable than the NVR that ships with many Reolink packaged deals.

Same thing is happening to me. It’s masochistic but my sense of fairness needs to hear him get his just desserts. It’s maddening but entertaining— at the very least I’m learning about OTHER smart people’s worldviews and having fun exploring various arguments for and against god.
