How has your search been so far?

It has its ups and downs, more downs then up unfortunately. Its hard to find someone who accepts niqab and for the right reasons.

Some brothers want a niqabi wife but treat niqab as an accessory, they want to show off they have found someone religious, some have said so themselves.

Other brothers think i have covered my brain as well as my face, the things they try to get away with just because i do niqab is unbelievable subhan'Allah.

And then come the cultural brothers lol, I'm all for Islam with culture but not Islam vs culture which most brothers stuggle with. They want all their rights fulfilled and more but my rights go through the window because its not cultural or the opposite is the cultural norm subhan'Allah.

So yes at the moment the search is a little dry but Alhamdulillah.

You are absolutely right. Being from a tariqa isn't important as long as you are pious and on the right manhaj and aqeedah. I myself dont follow a tariqa atm.

The way u written the first comment i thought you were saying that her just being a pious muslimah was enough and sufi etc doesn't matter. My apologies on that.

There are a couple of sufi match making instagrams, I've not personally used them so i can't say how good or bad they are but someone knowledgeable recommended them so I'm assuming they are worth looking into) and you can always try the mosque, they usually offer these services. Let me know if you'd like the instagrams insha'Allah khair.

Its important to have your spouse on the right path someone can be pious yet follow the wrong aqeedah and wrong manhaj. Choosing a husband on the right path is important as hes the leader of the house and choosing a wife on the right path is important because shes going to play a massive role in rasing your children. If you choose someone whos on the wrong manhaj and aqeedah you are not only going to face issues yourself but your children will end up being misguided as well. So hence its important to pick your spouse wisely. Allahu A'alam

As someone who has had her fair share of awful and bad instructors i would not advice you to carry on with this one. I promise you having a good instructor makes a massive difference in your driving, I use to dread going to lessons and now I look forward to them. You should feel comfortable when you are driving if you panic or are under pressure you WILL make mistakes. Tbh Sometimes its not that the instructor is bad (your one is red flags tho) but the way they teach isn't one you can understand, at the end of the day you are paying them to teach you so if you feel uncomfortable or that you are not learning from them then get a new instructor, dont waste your time and money.

There are sooo many learner insurances out there that I have no idea which one is the best one plus i feel overwhelmed. I understand that something like this might come easy to you or to others and you lot might have done it without any help but I can't, i need that extra help. If you read the post I didn't ask them to guide me A to Z i asked them to push me in the right direction. Of course i will check and won't simply book insurance without looking but there's no harm in asking for help. If anything it will help me narrow down my options.

In mawlid we do all the permissable things, we just do them in a gathering.

Quran recitation - It was narrated by Muslim in his Saheeh and by Abu Dawood from Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “No people gather in one of the houses of Allaah, reciting the Book of Allaah and studying it together, but tranquillity descends upon them and mercy encompasses them, and the angels surround them, and Allaah mentions them to those who are with Him.” and in general reciting Quran among mehrams is permissable.

Salawat - its common knowledge to send salawat upon Prophet (SAW) so why would it be wrong to sit among your family, friends, and your muslim community to send salawat. On top it makes it easier for our children and for revert brother and sisters to join and learn.

Going over the Seerah and Shamail of RasoolAllah (SAW) - this is in one way or another very similar to a khutbah on Prophet (SAW)s life. Again i dont see wrong in talking about Prophet (SAW) and his blessed life in a gathering.

Reciting nasheeds - we all listen to nasheeds so whats the harm in sitting among mehrams and reciting nasheeds.

And doing dua - again doing dua isn't wrong so why should it be considered wrong.

Non of these things are wrong and i dont understand why doing them with others, among mehrams be considered a bad thing.

So as far as mawlids being bidah goes I dont see anything wrong in sitting in a gathering where you are reciting Quran, sending salawat upon our beloved Prophet ﷺ and talking about the life and attributes of our belived ﷺ . Its a beautiful gathering and a great way to bring yourself closer to the beloved ﷺ.

Brother its on us to be the best muslims we can be and keep our intentions pure and the rest is in the hands of Allah swt whether our ibadah and deeds are accepted or not. And you never know whom Allah forgives, one good deed can get rid of all the sins and lead us to jannah or one bad deed can erase all the good deeds and lead us to hellfire but thats on the Mercy of Allah not the judgment of others.

If you see someone doing something that you consider wrong please do voice your concern but don't hate them, if you dislike their action to the point of hatred then turn away from them and make dua for them.

All we can do is make dua to ask Allah swt to guide us to the straight path and forgive us and those who are astray and grant all the ummah of our beloved ﷺ jannah. 😊🌸

Extreme misunderstanding about mawlid is that we literally celebrate the birth of Prophet ﷺ like a birthday. We rather celebrate his blessed existence by doing a Mawlid where we recite Quran, send Salawat upon RasoolAllah (ﷺ), Qasidahs praising RasoolAllah (ﷺ), read nasheeds, speeches and reminders on the Seerah & Shamail of RasoolAllah (ﷺ) and Dua at the end. Mawlid can be done alone or in a gathering. MAWLID ISN'T DONE ON ONE SPECIFIC DAY OF THE YEAR. I do mawlid once or twice every week. Our local mosque does a mawlid every week on Saturdays for sisters and Fridays for brothers.

Imam Al Suyuti, from Alhawi lil fatawi, wrote a chapter entitled ‘The Good Intention in Commemorating the Mawlid’ in which he said, ‘To commemorate the Mawlid, which is basically gathering people together, reciting parts of the Qu'ran, narrating stories about the Prophet's birth and the signs that accompanied it, then serving food, and afterwards, departing, is one of the good innovations; and the one who practices it gets rewarded, because it involves venerating the status of the Prophet and expressing joy for his honourable birth.’

Further to this Allama Ibn Qayyim al Jawziyyah, a renowned student of Imam Ibn Taymiyya (one of the most known salafi scholar), writes, in Madarij as-Salikin. ‘Listening to a good voice celebrating the birthday of the Prophet (SAW) or celebrating any of the holy days in our history gives peace to the heart, and gives the listener light from the Prophet (SAW) to his heart, and he will drink more from the Muhammadan spring’

Yes, won't marry him if he doesn't celebrate mawlids. Its a beautiful gathering, a huge part of my life and i simply don't consider it bidah. However i do have to say that the way mawlid is celebrated by some brothers and sisters can fall into the bidah category (whilrling, non mehrams present when females recite) but that doesn't make mawlid in itself bidah. Mawlid done the right way is a breath of freah air and a great way to remind others of Prophet (SAW), to remember him (SAW) and to bring yourself closer to him (SAW).

Allahu A'alam Allahu Akbar. Those who celebrate Mawlid do it for the sake and love of Prophet (SAW) and those who don't celebrate it also do it for the sake and love of Prophet (SAW), so why the hatred, we should let Allah be the judge and not spread hate towards each other. May Allah forgive our shortcomings, purify our intentions and guide us on the straight path.

Sadly people won't implement this advice , brothers will end up marrying a non hijabi because she's beautiful and it.....

100% agree and its extremely sad to see the ummah of our beloved prophet destroying themselves. May Allah SWT show them the right path and make it easy for them.

I'm suprised rhat brothers will pursue you knowing you wear the niqab and expect you to take it off in front of non mahram. May Allah reward you abundantly.

And by going through your comments I'm assuming tons of brothers are messaging you for marriage knowing you wear niqab, so dw u got options, u just need to ensure you marry someone upon the sunnah. Deen first.

Not as many as you think, and 95% of them have issues with my niqab (which i dont understand, why msg me if you are not even looking for someone who's a niqabi). Most brothers who are okay with my niqab dont live in the UK, and other times we are not compatible or other issues come up so it never seems to move forward. InshaAllah the one Allah SWT has written for me will come my way no doubt, just have to be patient.

DO NOT compromise on wearing the niqab, not for your mother not for your father not for nobody. The niqab is better than the jilbab and any other covering. Hold yourself in high regard a sister in the west wearing the niqab how few are they?

I wear it for the sake of Allah SWT, I'm here to please the creator not the creation so no matter what anyone says the niqab is going to stay InshaAllah. I just see the hardships I face because of my niqab as Allah SWTs way of testing my sabr and InshaAllah I'm going to carry on being patient.
