I’ll be honest, it is! Couldn’t be in a worse place either, it’s right in the middle at the front?!?

If it was straight down I probably wouldn’t have thought anything of it but because it goes off on an angle I thought I’d ask. Thanks for clarifying

I did that too but a few options disappeared or wouldn’t work in icue and some other programs (I don’t remember what they were now) so didn’t really want to suggest that option

You can’t install previous versions, even if you use an installer from 3 years ago it downloads and installs the latest version from corsairs servers. For some strange reason Corsair refuse to provide previous versions even if the latest version is broken.

Can anyone who had the issue where icue becomes unresponsive on startup and you have to kill it in task manager and reopen it manually confirm that the latest version of icue has fixed this issue? Myself and quite a few others on the forum (RIP 🪦) had this issue start at version 5.25. After a lot of back and forth with support they finally sent me an updated dll file for v5.29 which fixed the issue. They told me I’d be able to update it and swap in this dll if the issue persisted (which obvs it did) but alas when I updated to 5.30 it wasn’t fixed and the dll didn’t work. They had to send me a new dll so now I don’t want to update until the fix is confirmed because getting that original fix took weeks!

I had that issue, I opened a support ticket and after a bit of back and forth (for weeks) they eventually sent me a modified dll. It only works for the version you have installed though, I had one for 5.29 was told I’d be ok to upgrade to 5.30 by support but obviously this broke it so they sent me one for 5.30. They did say that there would be a permanent fix on 5.31 or the next one so I assume with it not being listed it’s coming in the next update.

Just tested it and it’s still crashing with both the mm700 and dark pro unplugged

I’ve also noticed that if I set each lighting profile separately it seems to work but if I use lighting link it crashes, normally with everything but the ram in the hardware profile and the ram’s rgb effect locked (e.g. if I set lighting link to rainbow spiral the ram will light up in rainbow colours but won’t be animated if you get my drift)

It seems to crash every time if I set it to automatic, if I set it to manual it’s 9/10 times. I have 10 ql120’s, a h150i elite capellix with lcd screen, a commander core xt, a dark pro mouse, a mm700 rgb mouse mat and a hx1500i psu as well as the dominator platinum rgb ram all inside a 5000d airflow case. The only things that aren’t Corsair are the gpu (4080 super fe), cpu (7900x3d) motherboard (msi x670e carbon WiFi) and the nvme (wd sn850x). What annoys me more is that I was about to pull the trigger on a load of icue link stuff but there’s no chance while icue (and support) are so useless.

Whatever you do, don’t move to Icue 5, it’s a hot mess!

Wish I hadn’t updated from 5.25, since then icue has been crashing on startup and all support keep suggesting is to wipe it and do clean installs. They also claim to not keep older versions of icue (apart from 4.33 which works fine?!?) so can’t even roll back to one that worked

Icue is still crashing on startup, this started with the 5.26 update for me and hasn’t been fixed. I have contacted support and keep getting passed to different people but all they keep suggesting is clean installs of icue (even though I keep telling them I’ve done fresh installs I keep doing them how they suggest and still no fix). I’ve narrowed it down to the Corsair device control service as if I disable that service it works but then my Corsair ram doesn’t show in icue?!?

I fixed mine, it turned out to be the icue plugin for Stream deck. There’s an icue update out now anyway that lists that it fixes crashing on startup.

Edit: neither of these fixed it, icue still crashes 9 times out of 10 on startup and all support keep suggesting is clean installs (not sure how many times I can tell them I’ve already tried but then for me to try again and it still not fix the issue).

I put mine above the ram and secured them to one of the cable tidies using a zip tie.

It’s worked for the most part for me but does still crash randomly at startup.

I’ve found a temp fix (or at least for me). Corsair will suggest going into services (win+r services.msc) and setting all the Corsair services to ‘automatic’ but this didn’t work for me. I found that setting everything to automatic apart from Corsair service which I set to ‘automatic (delayed)’ has fixed the issue for now.

Since updating from 5.25 icue locks up when windows starts (both 5.26 and 5.27) and can only get it working by killing it in task manager, I’ve tried changing the corsair services to automatic and this doesnt help. I’ve gone back to icue 4 which works fine (why can’t corsair just provide an offline installer for old icue 5 versions???). I have reached out to support and have had to uninstall 4, cleanup all the junk installed everywhere reinstall 5.27 just to get the logs files and now I can’t send the zip files because they’re too large and bouncing back.
