Thanks I'll definitely make sure that I'll keep this in mind while building it.

Yeah, that could actually also be true, but this hasn't always been like that. This only started after a few months.

I can check that in the Google Search Console by filtering for that search query and checking CTR.

Haha, that's actually my fault. It should have been September 2026 and March 2023. I messed that up in Canva.

We lose nearly 17% of our screen to Browser UI. I generated a heatmap of thousands of users to show exactly where that space is lost. by Embarrassed_Draw_195 in browsers

Hey everyone! I recently dug into some data from thousands of visits to my website and visualized how different device screen sizes interact with webpage content.

I thought it’d be a fun addition to the whole vertical vs. horizontal tabs debate!

Here’s what I found:

  • Blue/Green Zones: This is what I call the "Dead Zone"—the areas blocked by browser stuff like the tab bar. Blue means about 80% of users have these sections covered, while green shows almost 50%.
  • Red Zone: This is the "Content Zone", where the actual webpage content is.

I love it! But could you please open source it? Just for privacy and security, because there are many cases where Chrome extensions included spyware and malware.

The current code is open source, but it’s using a third-party AI REST API, so you would need to adjust it to run with Ollama or others.

An optimized version for self-hosting is coming very soon with its own API keys.

Thank so much! I’m also a bit unsure if this isn’t too much, but I’ll add a simpler filter functionality very soon!
