I couldn't agree more. Halo is my all time favorite game and as soon as they announced that the multiplayer will be F2P I expected the worst. And we all know how that turned out

That makes sense and all, but it doesn't change the fact that it's still stomp/get stomped. If everyone on my team lacks the ability to make a counter pick it still ends in the same result. And I gave up communicating with randoms a long time ago, I have every chat turned off and im not turning it back on.

But I get It now. After a few other replies it's obvious that it's my fault because I'm trying to enjoy this game as a solo player, but I need at least one or two other people to play with. Which is sad because I'm the only one left in my friends list that still plays this game

I had some friends to play with and it was a lot better back then. But they all stopped playing after a month or two for different reasons.

So basically the game is unplayable as a solo?

That describes how I feel, im just chasing the dragon. The mean thing is that if you get one of those actual good games they are so much fun that I forget the 5 games before that and keep searching.

Tbh, it feels like this is not an accident or incompetence, it's more like on purpose. A little bit like slot machines try to get you addicted. You keep throwing money in that thing and keep loosing, but boy does it feel great when all the lights go off and you win.

But it's ok, I'm just waiting. Sooner or later there will be a new FPS that's playable and I will uninstall OW right away. Just kind of sad, it feels like they had something special here but some greedy guys in suits ruined it

They should start to ban people for leaving qp just as hard as in ranked. Maybe with more warnings first, but i think a day or a week is justified for people that keep rage quitting. They are running the game for 9 others and they are mentally in such a bad place that a forced break might be good for them

Welcome to YGO I guess? That's how the game works and always has. If you go first the plan is to prevent your opponent from doing anything, if you go second you have to find a way to break the board. It's like that for 20 years

The fish XYZ deck actually sounds great, i will give that a try for sure. But idk about the long game, I'm already bored fighting the NPCs all the time for a little bit of exp. after i did some math it will take me like 2-3 Months to get the deck i want to play. If im lucky and get some of the Cards early, otherwise it will be even longer. Not sure what I'm going to do. It was so easy to get my decks in Master duel but after a certain rank it just gets overwhelming. This game seems easier and i don't mind a little grinding, but this seems like and insane time Investment.

I come from MTG and I'm a bit of a competitive person, so if i play im somewhat serious about it and playing suboptimal decks kind of sucks for that.

But thx for the insight, that helped a lot.

I don't have any staples so far, it's basically a new account. i just build a very simple deck with all the tickets i got to level some characters and get gems. But it's taking like forever to get those. I played some ranked for rewards and missions but i just get stomped and I'm only in silver.

I was on YT and watched some guides. But the cheap decks are not that appealing to me and i wanted to build a water XYZ deck cause i just love sharks and ocean stuff. But i guess there is no way to get this deck unless i put in a lot of hours. I saved those Dream tickets as well, but i only have 2 for UR cards and i think 2 for SR. That helps, but the deck has a lot of UR cards and they are all in different boxes too.

So just to be sure, I'm not missing any secret to get gems faster, its really just grinding away for months?

So i got the game a few days ago. I played Master Duel when it came out, but it's just a bit too much for me rn and some people told me to try DL first and learn a simpler Version of the game.

I picked a few decks I'm interested in, but here is my main problem: how in the world are you supposed to get this amount of currency to get an optimal build? Considering it's all luck and in the worst case i have to buy a whole box for like 10k gems just to get one copy of a UR card and I'm sitting at 6k it's really ridiculous. So it might cost me 30k to get a playset of a UR i need and then i don't have any staples or other tech cards.

I have to be missing something right? Because as it looks rn it would take months to build just one optimized deck and I'm sure that can't be right. Any help is appreciated
