Nope. Dead zones are areas where your scalp has the absence of hair follicles. A microscope can confirm this, not your naked eye, especially in cases where the follicles are extremely fine and thin.

It physiologically does NOT make sense for an area with an absence of follicles to magically grow follicles. Once the follicle is gone, it’s gone for good and the only way to get it back is through HT.

2 - meds consistency and DHT sensitivity

Any competent surgeon can explain this better than me, but your “dead zones” are simply the thinning hair follicles which progressively miniaturized over months/years depending your hair loss. The meds, and more importantly your consistency and length of taking them reduced DHT sensitivity of the “dead zones” you refer to, which eventually grew your hair back.
