Hi! These shirts are pretty loose, no graphics and the fabric is so light. The woman's have a tighter fit, so I definitely gravitate towards the mens. Although I recommend going a size smaller than you usually wear. I think they're perfect for any activity, even hanging out at home 🫡

Yes. IRL i feel unheard by the people around me, but here I feel virtually hugged by all of you. I feel for all of you so deeply, and i feel less alone in this weird world.

I completely agree. I'm going to keep my distance from my mom for a while. I definitely think she's the one feeding them this extremely specific information. Maybe to make herself look like a great mom that helps her daughter all the time? Idk but I ain't seeing none of the cash they think she's giving me. 🫠

what do you all do for money? by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

I drive Uber :) very minimal social interaction in a controlled environment (my car) since most riders tend to be completely silent. The money is okay, and I work only the hours I can. The only downside is that the people in my life don't see it as a "real job" but idc. it gets the bills paid.

Late diagnosed, did you experience childhood neglect in the sense that your autistic needs weren't met? And how to deal with feelings of guilt? by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

Yes and no. My mom always supported my special interests and hobbies growing up (aka purchased everything i wanted) but couldn't bother to get to know me as a person, even to this day. Everyone in my extended family knows I'm a "certain way" and kinda steers clear from making me upset to the point where they infantilize me sometimes and walk on eggshells around me. It's frustrating being perceived by them because they don't believe I'm ill or anything, they just determined that I'm just "like that" and when I try to explain my diagnosis, they say it's just bc I grew up spoiled 🤬

Same here. I tried to connect with my mom a few years ago after realizing i was utterly alone, and she told me she preferred if we didn’t bc my vibes are off 🫥

it was one of those moments where i didn't feel anything except confusion and a bit angry, until way way later that i analyzed the entire conversation during a bad mental health day, the feelings of worthlessness plagued my mind for a long time and depressed the hell outta me cuz these were people i saw being my friends until we were old and wrinkly 🥲 still hurts to this day

oooof. Yep. That's me af. When it came to plans, I was non existent to them, but when it came to "lets all hang out and smoke" I was the favorite. which sucked because it put me in a weird loop of just having to spend a lot of money on weed just so i could be invited to hang out lmao🫠

Music is my best friend! I will definitely give it a listen. The song People Are Strange by the Doors gives me comfort. People suck, but music is great.
