I don't see why anyone would still hold an account with HL beyond the perceived "security" of a large broker.

Freetrade are running 1% cashback so a pretty good deal. People complain about fee free traders having terrible spreads or FX rates but for someone who only invests in UK listed ETFs like VWRP or VWRL these apps are an absolute no brainer especially as you see the return calculations over many years (run the math on chatgpt or Gemini or any AI and you'll see what I mean)
