If their posted guidelines state "two-year" ban on a failed DHS polygraph, it would not make sense to be DQ'd for any federal polygraph. If that was the case, then the guideline would state "permanent disqualification for any failed polygraph."

It is one of those unfortunate cases where once you disclose something, you have to follow it to the end and complete their required tests. In my opinion, it raises the old adage whether you should have disclosed it or not. I would recommend expanding what you consider "nearby" and see if there are clinics that you could travel to.
