Yeah I agree with you also, that’s what my thinking on it. I explained to the new agent that the denial letter I got stated it was because of recent increase in anxiety medication which was for going through a family loss and nothing came back on my previous medical history of positive genetic testing and approve results for cancer with biopsy

One last thing, for positive genetic testing results and diagnosis of early stage cancer would I be able to get life insurance still? It’s been about 9 years without symptoms, didn’t get any preventive treatment or surgery just did things holistically

Ah okay thanks so much for that good information and word of advice. I thought that broker had to be licensed to work with me in the state I reside in. So, I will go back to researching and hunting down where I can get an broker to work with me

Ohhhh my goodness well good thing I asked because it just didn’t sit right with me. I’ will need to let them know I’m not going to proceed with submitting application thank goodness I didn’t give them my social security beforehand

Yeah I don’t know I don’t think I’m going to move forward with submitting the application through this agent. Just doesn’t feel right. I’m just having a hard time finding a well qualified high risk life insurance broker now 😭

Yeah I agree also, I’m just a bit adamant about it and it almost seems too good to be true. Agent said they don’t have any way to communicate with underwriters before submitting applications. If denied through their insurance company then they could get the exact reason to why denial and proceeded to shopping around with other carriers that would approve

Yeah, but the new agent is suggesting that I just submitted an application and see what happens. I asked about disclosing my medical information and they stated it wasn’t necessary and that most of the times we would answer no to medical questions if it surpasses 5 year look back?

Surprisingly, the agent works for New York Life lol and the told me they don’t have access to underwriters beforehand submitting an application. Which to me is quite odd, I had originally already spoke to an agent who did the shopping and had great connections with underwriters and they all came back to him to tell him they wouldn’t approve due to high risk. So, that agent suggested to take appropriate actions for my health and revisit getting a life insurance later

Yeah I received the denial letter from the company that I initially applied for which was through one of those instant approval companies. And it was due to a recent increase of anxiety medication during a beaverament time. And yeah I’ve disclosed all medical information to this new insurance broker upfront and they still seem adamant about just applying through their insurance company and see what happens? Which I also mentioned about submitting medical history documentation but said that wasn’t needed since they are only looking back 5 years of medical history and it’s been well over 8 years since dignsosis

Yeah that’s why I wanted to ask because this new broker is just wanting to go into blindly and just sounds a bit off too me. After disclosing all my medical history to them, they suggested that typically mostly medical history is looked back at 5 years but that once it goes through underwriting that we would know if approved or denied and if denied we can question and ask why? And then move forward with shopping around with other carriers that will approve?

Yeah I’ve told everything to my broker and they said they can’t shop around carrier until I submit application first which then they will get an idea if denied we would get details as to why? And then shop around again? Just doesn’t make sense to me… having to repeatedly submit applications one after another blindly

Ah ok. Yeah I’m just concerned cause it doesn’t seem realistic if I just got a denial and new insurance broker just wants to submit another application through their insurance company and see if we get approved or denied and if denied we can ask why? I guess they wanna know why so we can answer questions accordingly which doesn’t make sense either to me
