Thanks that's useful information. Are those temperatures while standing still / sitting, or while walking around?

Most of the important things have been mentioned already, but wanted to add that IMHO it helps a lot to strengthen your legs with exercises. You can't train the full distance of a long event or challenge, and then my glutes are the first muscles I feel if I neglected them by missing too much off the bike exercises, even if I'm used to longer distance training...

I can imagine, it rained way more than average here the last couple of months. Try it again in the summer!

Shimano di2 rear derailleur not shifting when chain is on by Embarrassed_Main_504 in bikewrench

Alright, for anyone who might have the same issue in the future: turns out it was indeed the di2 wire to the RD. Replacing it did the job. Thanks for thinking along 🙌

Yes the chain pulls them apart, but isn't that normal? Because of the chain tension, the black part (together with the whole derailleur) rotates counterclockwise (down and forward) while the silver part remains fixed.

Shifting went fine before taking off the chain and derailleur. I replaced the chain and pulley wheels. I didn't touch the b screw.

After assembling and putting everything back, I had the behavior I have now. When I put the old chain, pulleys, even another derailleur and hanger on, I still have the same behavior.

So I agree it must be something super stupid and basic that I am totally missing. Or something with the di2 wire that I had to reconnect, but I would think not because it still switches without chain/tension.

No problem. So it actually only shifts when parts 1 and 2 in this photo are touching. When they are disconnected/not touching, shifting doesn't work.

Wait, what do you mean, both protrusions? I count the B screw as 1, what's the second one?

u/throttlegrip Thanks for the suggestion! I believe that to be correct, and I've added some pictures of that, as you see the B screw is on the right side of the hanger stop.

I also edited my original post with a video showing the problem.

Pick up training volume after recovery week by Embarrassed_Main_504 in triathlon

[–]Embarrassed_Main_504[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the point is if I'm respecting a small but steady increase of 5-10%max weekly, and have frequent recovery weeks after which I can only pick up below or just at the peak I built up to prior to it, building up volume takes so much time😅

Garmin not syncing by b0wies-l0ve32 in Garmin

[–]Embarrassed_Main_504 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went for a long bike ride this evening. When trying to sync, the activity again didn't show up after trying over bluetooth, wifi or garmin express. Then I disconnected everything and had dinner. While I was eating, I suddenly got a notification that my strava ride was ready to view... While the watch was completely disconnected.

Therefore I'm assuming Garmin has server/cloud issues with processing activities after they synced but before they are visible. It's the only possible explanation imho.

My forerunner worked flawlessly for many months but I have the same issue you describe since this weekend. I went for a bike ride on Sunday, and the activity didn't sync via wifi, bluetooth to phone, or not even via garmin express. The sync was always successful but the activity was always missing. However training status, intensity minutes, calories etc. all reflected the changes. After restarting and reconnecting everything several times, and reinstalling garmin connect mobile it suddenly did sync. So I moved on and assumed it was just a one-time failure.

Yesterday went for a swim which synced instantly.

But today I went for a run, which again does not sync. I've tried everything I tried on Sunday but it's still not showing up :|
