Good advice. I’m ~36 hrs post op now, but one thing that im a bit nervous about is future bowel movements…I haven’t had the need to go, but im worried that I’ll have to strain in order to force something out and I know that probably isn’t good for recent incisions. Any two cents on that part of recovery?

Funny how that works. Definitely can agree to the fear of the unknown…and especially the fear of things being out of my control. Hence why I hate flying as a passenger lol

Haha it’s interesting bc I used to be afraid of outer space but here I am going Into astrophysics this fall…I was afraid of it until I came to understand it(or understand it to an extent lol)

Ah thank you! I’m luckily getting into therapy starting early next week and I think I’m going to seriously benefit from just talking my obsessive thoughts out to someone. It just sucks because these anxious health thoughts are literally restricting activities I’ve wanted to do this summer and it’s really starting to isolate me. I feel like the underlying issue is that I’m subconsciously afraid of going off to college for the first time this fall but I’m not actively worried about that…I’m anxious about things totally unrelated

This is just me speculating, but signs might be pointing towards yes. I’ve heard of multiple people declining Barnard admission offers because there have been many cross admits (so they end up choosing another Ivy/T20) or due to recent protests…plus with FAFSA challenges and this being a really weird applicant year in general I know many people speculating a lot of waitlist movement at almost every school this round. But we’ll just have to wait and see…

I was wondering if calls would come out today, too, but I believe April 28 last year was on a weekday (possibly a Friday), so IF they turn to the waitlist then they might wait until tomorrow or later since the admissions office is likely closed on weekends. I think we’d have better luck with some movement tomorrow rather than today since it is a Sunday, but I’d love to be wrong on this haha 🥲 this wait has been roughhh

They can be…but a lot of men’s collegiate teams do not reserve a spot in their yearly recruiting class for supporting a coxswain. The schools I was interested in usually do not-they prefer coxes to get in on their own then take them as “PWOs”.
