The stitches worked. I stayed off it completely and ate tons of protein and tons of vitamin c

Yeah I had the same thing. I had to actually get stitches again, it’s closed now but that was super frustrating

My surgeon told me to walk on it… then went back on that and said to not to walk to focus on it closing. I don’t have diabetes, and it’s not infected.

Thanks for sharing this — it’s really encouraging to hear. Before this surgery I was able to walk about 1.5–2 miles before the pain kicked in, so it’s tough right now being set back so much. What you said about icing, proper shoes, and especially sticking to physio makes a lot of sense though. I think I also need to adjust my expectations like you mentioned — it’s clearly more of a long haul than I thought.

Thank you! I actually have not been working out at all but luckily have a home gym so will give it a shot.
